The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Where is everyone planning on buying these from? Any Canadian store recommendations?

No idea about Canada, but around here Toys R Us is about as cheap as they get. Only problem with them are they are the very last stores on earth to finally get product in, so you will wait. But they do always arrive eventually and at respectable prices. When the helmeted variants hit I'll use one of the online stores probably just to make sure I get a pre-order in.

I think in our case it will be at specialty shops like comic book stores or at conventions. I never saw any of the NECA line at my local Toys R Us or Walmart.

I have been waffling on this, but this kinda seals it. I need a dutch. I missed out on the hot toys Dutch when it was still reasonable, so I need a good Dutch on the shelf. Glad to hear they are looking as good as the proto pics.

Check Toys R Us Online. I've gotten several NECA figs there. But they don't have the ALIENS or Prometheus Series 2 yet.

I thought that too. I think/hope its just the close proximity of the pulse to the camera lens doing a funky perspective thing

Hope so.

And the window on the welder looks a little too square, it should be more rectangle.

But that's getting really picky. If that bothers me so much on the finished product, I can fix that myself easy enough.

just got the following in an e-mail from Forbidden Panet :(

Unfortunately we have just been informed that the Aliens Series 1 Figures have been delayed. The stock is now expected mid June 2013. As soon as they arrive we will process and despatch your order as quickly as possible. I apologise for this delay and any inconvenience it may cause. Please note that all dates given by the suppliers are estimated and are subject to change without prior notification.

Brutal...but sadly expected.

The Neca Predator line with the new Arnold's was delayed quite a bit as well. After seeing that debacle I figured there was little chance our Marines would arrive on time.

Also Amazon has been posting the release dates on them as June for a while now. I didn't want to believe it, but they must have known something was up. Shame.

Just hope they don't do a NuBSG fiasco like HASBRO did.

You want a Titanium Colonial One or Raptor, no problem. No chance of a Galactica though as ebay scalpers bought them.

Excellent, I can finally build a SPR Barry Pepper figure!
What's up with that goofy Hicks sculpt??

Not a fan of the other Hudson one either, the game over one is too good :)

Will they come with the eggs and huggers?

They say they don't know how they will distribute the eggs and huggers yet. Maybe with the Queen?

Man, I have to say I love the work. I love the eggs, the facehuggers, the sculpts. I love the possibility of more marines and I will buy ALL that. All of it. However, I HATE that they dont come with helmets.

I guess those heads are a sneak peak of the "alternate heads" that WILL have helmets that will be included in the 2-packs (with exploding Warriors). Not sure why those heads can have helmets while the originals couldnt...but I guess Neca has to do what they gotta do to make their money, and make it they shall. I'll be annoyed but I'll be buying everything!

I actually heard that if they dont get more character likeness licenses for series 2, they will make a generic "army builder" type marine with the flamethrower pic they tweeted. Again, I'd be disappointed if they can't get deals done, but I'd buy the hell out of the 'army builder' as well.

This pic was also released by Neca and posted to the SSF forum. Clearly the inclusion of the shotgun and holster implies this is a "pre-crap-hits-the-fan" loadout, yet he has no shoulder lamp or helmet...man I'm terribly vexed by the accesories of series 1. But not so vexed to not buy....

Series 1 now lists on most websites as Middle-late June. The online retailer I saw with the latest expected date was July 1st.
