The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Besides some logical mistakes (which can be easily overseen) I like Alien Resurrection very much. For me it was the long awaited return to the first Alienmovie's dark and organic atmosphere.
AvP never reached the niveau of any Alien-movie. Stopped watching first movie after 30 mins or something like that. Just based on violence. Never watched the 2nd one.

Btw.: Made my first 30 waves of Bughunt yesterday! It was a thrilling and adrinaline-pumping trip! Recommended to every A:CM player! Gather some marines and Oorah! go for a hunt!

Way to go, Marine! I've heard you can earn upgrades or something like that in BH... Did you get anything for your efforts?

Now that I finally got 100% completion & all trophies in the regular game I'm really looking forward to getting together with some fellow AL members and jumping into playing Bug Hunt soon!

Me (kemple71) and my sister (predator-2000) Have had some brilliant games in Bug Hunt together, we were on last night and managed to clear 30 waves on tribute, we were playing on recruit setting but it was still bloody hard and relentless!! Still looking forward to playing with a few of you on here too.
A few questions, can anyone tell me how to set up a game in bug hunt for me and my sister to play that allows me to leave the other 2 slots open for other players to join in. I am really confused by the whole game set up options> LAN > public/private/ etc. I did it once but can't remember how.
Also, what's the deal with the sentry guns? sometimes as soon as you aquire them they need repairing straight away?

Does anyone know what the theme of the next DLC is likely to be and when it will be released. Not that I am in any rush as I still have so much to play through already, I haven't even tried escape/survivor etc yet, plus I want to play through tribute/broadside/merc on each difficulty.

On the subject of meeting arsey players within games, yeah, I got screamed at the other night! I ventured into deathmath, and spawned as an alien, I haven't played as an alien before and so had no idea whatsoever about the controls, I started wandering round and within seconds some guy was screaming at me " where are you going? what are you doing? what the hell are u doing over there? get back in here! Jesus.....what are you doing there???? Kemple......KEMPLE!!!!!!!!!
I panicked, died and left......but, what an asshole!

I for one wont tolerate players that don't share funds or pay towards anything in Bug hunt, I have hosted plenty of games then ended them when others just use the money for themselves only

I promise that if you jump into a match with some of us from the AL board that will never happen! Everybody gets lost or stranded, especially when you're unfamiliar with the maps and spawn away from your teammates. Everyone gets killed sooner or later, but nobody likes to be yelled at by some anal-retentive moron under any circumstances. If you want to play with people who are supportive of each other and play for fun and occasional glory, then why not join us the next time you receive an invitation. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

OK, the boss you have to kill with the power loader on ultimate bad ass mode is a bridge to far tough. We have tried and failed like 40 or more times to beat him. Calling in my 14 year old nephew to help next time. Funny thing is, we have went through the game 2 ether times on lower difficulty modes and beat that particular boss pretty easy.

Were the previous run throughs done before the latest patch though, as that ramped up the difficulty a lot?

I played the Raven mission with two friends yesterday on ultimate badass mode and had some really strange things happen.

We decided to soften the Raven up a bit before the final battle by shooting it from cover while it was running around in the road outside the barrcade. This basically damages the Raven enough to shorten the loader battle by about 30 seconds, as long as you have one or two partners to keep the little xenos off while you're in the power loader. That trick has worked flawlessly the past few times we've tried it. This time things did not go quite as expected...

After we got through the gate and the battle got underway the Raven simply vanished... And the little xenos just kept spawning endlessly. While it was fun blasting xenos like a shooting gallery, after several minutes we were running low on ammo and decided to reload the checkpoint. All three of us died almost instantly. Reloaded again and two of us who were keeping the little xenos off the loader's back went down, and could only watch via ghost vision while the loader finally killed the Raven and completed the mission. The little xenos stopped spawning except for one that kept dancing around behind the loader, apparently not doing any damage. :?:

I played the same mission on ultimate badass the other day with Magnus and the Raven went down in under a minute with just two of us playing, almost too easy! The vanishing Raven must've been a rare glitch, as I've played that mission numerous times on every difficulty level, before and after the patch, and never had that happen before.

Anyway, since the patch it's nearly impossible to kill the Raven without help. The little xenos attack the power loader much more aggressively while the AI Marines fail to protect it enough to give you a fighting chance against the Raven. I hope this issue is addressed in a future patch because it obviously needs some adjustment.
