The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi,

I am new to the forum. I am a avid costumer and con goer. My costumes include Darth Vader (501st quality not a member.), Jason #7, Darken Rahl, Jayne Cobb among others...working on a predator atm and exploring the oportunity for a colonial marine. I goto several cons a year including D*con. I am a core member of the group Con*torage and starting a podcast about cons and costuming. Forgive my A.D.D. when it comes to forums. I am a very active person on several forums but dont post much on them.

Hi,

Was pushed this way from some folks at RPF and some friends putting together their own gear. Have been costuming for years with 501st and some others, but wanted to try something different. The original Alien scared the crap outta me, so I figure this is therapy. Just received a Matrix PR and have started to work some mods, hoping to put together a whole USCM set.

Hi everyone!

I'm 23 from the UK, been saving up for CM kit since the start of this year. Not doing too well though as it keeps getting eaten up by my airsoft hobby. :d
(I've managed to get a few patches so far... woohoo!).
I met Vito a few days back not realising he was a part of the UKCM, and only realised when we started talking on Facebook after having lots of similar interests.

Nice to meet you all. :)

Hi Chaps...

Scapey told me I should get my ass in here, so here I am.

Some of you may know me through the UK Garrison and my Scout antics, and others may know me through the airsoft scene.
But for those who don't.....

The name's Rob and there are some who call me "the Chef".
Avid airsofter for about the last 10 years and I co-run KGB Airsoft down in Cornwall.
Been a member of the UK Garrison for about 5 years now and I have an unhealthy passion for Star Wars and Scouts in particular.
I tend to make my own costumes because that's the best part about the hobby and I've got a bit of a knack for it after spending quite a lot of time making car bodies and all manner of other GRP type stuff.

Been an Aliens fan for many years as I am sure you all have... It's just one of those kick-ass films.

I've got some projects on the go, and I'll post a separate thread somewhere to show you all how I'm getting on.

Cheers all.
Rob.

Hi Folks, I'm Gary. Based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Fan of all things Aliens since I sneaked a watch of my dads betamax tape of Alien in '82 (Though I haven't seen Prometheus yet). I haven't decided yet whether to join the Marines, or go the Corporate route;)

I'm generally friendly but am accused of having a wee bit of a skewed sense of humour. Always up for a chat.

Little late on the intro but you know, real life can be a drag. Name is Matt Hudson, Aliens fan for quite a while and didn't really know about USCM costuming until my first Dragoncon '07. Haven't had the funds to really look at getting a set until recently from my friend 25-Sierra now that he has a smart gunner, I'll be taking the infantryman armor off his hands as soon as possible. Did get to try it out this past weekend at a local con and I'm pretty well not going to look back!!!

Welcome Hudson!

Funny how we fans have similar stories. I'm a long term fan who couldn't afford a kit right off the bat. Saw our friendly Abe T. Alien at Dragon Con 2012 and he literally led me to a squad of Marines! That geek circuit in my brain sparked to life and I just dropped coin on a full set of gear from my main man Spat. I WAS going to go with an M56 kit but decided to do an Infantryman kit first. A little more cost effective and it'll let me "test the waters" before I put down a setious chunk of cashy money on the big rig.

Hoping to meet you at Dragon Con 2014 as well!

Hello, my name is Zoltan and i'm from Hungary where Aliens is (mostly) an old sci-fi movie, but there are few, like me who wanted to join the ranks of the Colonial Marines... and a few of us founded the hungarian branch ( dubbed, HCM, Hungarian Colonial Marines ).

I'm on the job to build a smartgunner...

Hi there,
Im James and im one of the staff at KGB Airsoft down in Cornwall, Ive been Airsofting for about 4 years now and Ive been an Aliens fan since I first saw Aliens when I was about 12, I said to myself back then that I would own a Pulse Rifle one day and 21 years later ive got one :D
The final deciding factor on starting my collection was that a good friend of mine, Rob (chef) decided he was going to make Colonial Marine Armour after many years of making Storm troopers and Biker scouts, His work is exceptional so I thought I would take the plunge and buy a kit off him, I got myself a PR and hopefully will have my armour ready to assemble and paint by the end of the week :D
Here is as far as ive got with my PR
