Thanks for posting this I just scored a blue one!

Just to keep the thread up to date, although they're included in the offer too the OD Pulse Rifles appear to be out of stock as they're marked as "not available for purchase online" and "not available for purchase in store". :-(

Although this may simply be because I hadn't filled any UKARA registration details?

Perhaps this thread should be moved to the Ready Line as I know some people don't bother to read the Airsoft Section as frequently or even at all? :?

So what's the "skinny" on the Snow Wolf? Is it supposed to be good quality or something?

Clone of a G&P I think:

Yeah, at a guess I'd say the Evike/Matrix & Snow Wolf models are just one in the same. G&P clones manufactured in China then sold under different brands in the US & UK.

Damned good price at £229 too! :D

Cheers.

John. :)

Well it turned up yesterday and im so happy with it. The spas cage looks very plasticy in photos but in person it aint half as bad as i thought it would be. Feels very sturdy and not at all as creaky as i imagined it to be. Yet to test the fireing but even as a wall hanger or trooping pulse its perfect esp at that price!

Mine also arrived yesterday can't fault the supplier or the item which is more than I can say for Parcel Force who despite a large clear label saying "DELIVER TO ADDRESSEE ONLY - DO NOT LEAVE WITH A NEIGHBOUR" left it with a Neighbour!

thats good old parcelforce for you! at least it made it to you in one piece!

Was very surprised mine came without the orange tips on it. The blue i can live with but i would have had to have done something about the tips if they were bright orange!

i've used mine in a few games since, had it modded so it works a bit better, all in all i would say it's a fairly decent gun for airsoft, not amazing, but she got a load of attention on the day. but you have to admit, £229 for an aliens airsoft pulse rifle compaired to £600+ for the kit form (inc a thompson)...you just cant fault it really

They only have the blue one for non-UKARA members left in stock, but it's a steal at £179 as it includes the Thompson. I want to build a Storty Pulse Rifle for the missus, so this would be ideal as a base.

Obviously, I'd need to get the clamshell apart and spray it green - I assume there's a ton of threads on here for which colour is best to use (Any pointers please :) )?

I too picked up a two-tone a while back and repainted it. They can be transformed into a VERY good airsoft gun with a little TLC. Mine now outranges my armalite. To the extent that i sold the armalite shortly after.

- Strip, clean and shim gearbox properly
- M100 spring (does 338 now on my chrono)
- Guarder clear hop rubber (Barrel is 6.04 so leave it alone)
- Rewired and installed AB mosfet
- Fitted 11.1v 2200MaH lipo back in the rear of the grenade shroud
- Rewired ammo counter to the main loom, saves messing around with 9V batteries

It shoots like a laser now

Video of the Rof with the mosfet and internal lipo (last few rounds in the mag) :

(not sure if you have a youtube plug-in on these boards ?)

Agreed - upgraded, they are lethal. Out of the box, mine and my friends was around 250 which was pretty poor. He wants me to upgrade his now he's seen what they can do

I like the idea of wiring the counter into the main circuit, nice mod indeed. I'm really tempted to build a stubby, but at a loss of how to build the front section, as in what to use that would be sturdy and hardwearing enough. Needs some thought...

yea out of the box it was disappointing. The supplied battery is crap and the hop rubber is pants. Mine shot like a bag of s**t. However once upgraded it was incredible. Everybody who had a go with it was like "oh s**t !". The range is quite frankly amazing. Akin to my ugraded Steyr aug.

Thouroughly impressed and looking forward to skirmishing in the complete kit :)

If i were to make a carbine version i would probably cut down a full size one and perhaps fabricate the front in fibreglass

Nice work. I just replaced the battery today with a uprated one and what a difference that makes alone.

Can you take some pictures of your battery placement?

I'm not exactly sure how you guys got it in there

Won't be pulling it apart to take pics but this should give you an idea -

You need to trim away a couple little plastic tabs and remove/move the fuse holder. It's literally a perfect fit. I've also modified the shell-door so it slides backwards. This means you can charge the battery in-situ. My diagram isn't perfect. You can still rack the pump to expose the shell

The battery is about half way down. Got the yellow 'special offer' banner

I'm still rocking an old style 9.6v stick battery (although i had to cut away a stop plate in there so it would fit), so that pretty much wipes out any chance of upgrading or replacing the grenade launcher area for anything decent for now. Would love to put a mini muscart launcher in there (was a photo on another thread), that'd be a nice addition to finish it off. Need to move to Lipos really...
