The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I believe it'll count even if it doesn't rebound as long as the actual "acid rebound" attack is what is equipped. Get in close and just shoot straight. Escape matches where they bunch up also helps with this one.

And Kona we used your suggested "get on the lift with them as a spitter with rupture" plan to great effect last night. Took one team out in just a bit over 60 seconds. Probably made more than a few chaps pretty pissed with our acidic onslaught :)

Yeah, I was just getting really frustrated trying to do them in public games. Get to close, I get shot, to far, and Marines would move just as my shot got to them. If I did hit, then as I line up the second, another player would finish the Marine off. I was doing well for assists! Acid Trap by far the superior long range spit attack.

Tonight I shall be spamming claymores...

Heh, I did hatemail for my claymore spamming in execution matches, but an appology afterwards when I said I was working on my challenges, and that the match was a bust for my team anyway, as the xenos had locked down the execution points with mass spamming of acid traps.

Never get the thinking of a tactic/weapon as 'noobish', effective tactic is effective, switch your tactics to counter... jump over the claymore...

Found the escape xeno skill to be amusing on areas with no roof. Super xeno takes to the air!!

That always makes me lol. Plus it's an amusing way to rack up kills outside as the Marines usally seem to think you just glitched off the map somehow and then 5 seconds later you fall right into their lap from xeno heaven.

Spotted this over in the PS3 thread:

Looking to complete the "Back in the Game" challenge of reviving 5 teammates in co-op.

You mean "Back On Your Feet", following "Carry a Big Stick"? That can actually be completed solo. If you have two controllers, just invite a second player (can be a clone of yourself) to join you in a private Campaign co-op match (split screen) and shoot player 2 to down him/her, then revive. Rinse & repeat till you hit 5, easy as pie! Or you could do it as part of a team if you prefer doing it that way. It's all good fun.

Also, noticed that some/all of the multiplayer challenges can be done in coop story campaign.

e.g. Kill two enemies with one shotgun blast.
Had both campaign and online challenges to do, was playing coop with BurntKona, shot some Xenos and both challenges completed at the same time. 8)

Need two or more opponents for my current challenges, including killing two Marines with one fully charged spit and hitting enemy/enemies with every bullet from a fully loaded service pistol.

Will be online tonight and tomorrow afternoon.

Jut been on and ended up friending someone from Virginia (with a very strong Southern States accent) and doing a few challenges in a private party. :)

Still can't for the life of me get past the lurker pounce one. :P

Did find that almost all marine-based challenges can be done in singleplayer, i spammed through so many of them by loading the hope in hadley's mission, doing whatever i needed with the bugs right at the start then reloading checkpoint when i got to the door opening. Even the "full mag without reloading or missing" ones, though that was a sod :D Just doesn't help when you have to do anything as a bug!

You need the speed pounce to do that (found in secondary attack), then just start a private party and let the Marine friend just stand there as you do three speed pounces in a row. :)
