Now I remember I had something to post last time I saw this thread.

Season 3 finale of "Archer" on FX.

Taking place on a space station, not only are all the characters wearing M3 Body armor, carrying "Pulse rifles" (slightly re-arranged in design and purpsoe, but inspiration is clear right down to LED ammo counters), but the main cyborg bad guy challenges archer to a fight and offers him a full blown Powerloader to use.

Also, I dont recall which espisode specifically, but they are in the jungle and he is staring at the trees. His partner calls him out, "Your looking for Predator arent you?" His fear of Predator is a re-occurring gag I believe.

Damit big! Lol I was just about to say the scene from archer! I was all pumped up and I get to the last post on the last page and you had it. There is a reference to aliens on the league from fx channel. Ruxin has appendicitis and he screams "I'm gonna die like in Alien!!!"

The British Movie Dog Soldiers has a very similar storyline with Werewolves replacing Aliens including Cooper reminding the guys to use "Short Controlled Bursts" when they are under siege in the cottage.

The movie in actually loaded with references to other movies including Zulu, The Matrix and Star Trek to name just a few others.

Back in the day me and a friend played Starcraft and he could replace the sound effects for the Terran marines. When you would get attacked it would start with Hudson saying "movement!" Then apone saying "talk to me Hudson" etc. it was really cool

I dont mean to get obsessive about "Archer" again...but my sister-in-law got me seasons 1 & 2 on DVD and I can't help but point out that Archer's weapon of choice is....

What modern day spy would CHOSE as his primary weapon a 25+ year old pistol that is almost universally hated for its long trigger pull and lack of accessories?!?!? The kind that has an Aliens fan as the brains behind the operation is my guess!!!

I'm afraid that is just badly rendered Walther pp. Archer doesn't have actually have a time period setting they all drive 70's cars, 60's clothing, modern phones and 80's computers.

But I will say in a season 3 episode a very gray haired Burt Reynolds is hooking up with Archer's mom. I must insist that "modern day" is their time frame. But yeah...i back off my VP statement. In cartoon form, I can see how I was wrong.

But dammit, go to season 3 finale for USCM armor! Undeniable Aliens love !!!!

So season 4 episode 2 of archer. Archer makes a reference to predator that is real funny. Also Pam wants to get out of this chicken shit outfit.

Just playing through Mass Effect 3 and there's a lot of little bits that very tenuously reference the Alien series.

However, there's one mission involving clusters of alien eggs... and you have a flamethrower. Need I say more?

Is that from Fletch? Or Fletch Lives?

Also Tony Di Nozzo references Alien(s) in an episode NCIS the other night when the team were stranded on a deserted US Navy "Black Ship".

has no one seen Wallace and Gromit , A matter of Loaf and Death ? has a send up of the powerloader fight in it , happens at the end of the film , they have a forklift with large oven gloves , being drive by a female dog ..
Also in the Episode ... A close Shave , the send up Terminator in it ... when the endo skeleton breaks out of the crusher...
