The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Given the challenges with hotel rooms this year, I'd like people to get on this list ASAP, even if you later have to withdraw.

My preference is for the Ibis, but if it proves financially unfeasible for the rest of the 'Wall Crew, I'll be coming down with them.

Might as well add myself to the list now...

Mole (Shared Hilton Rooms)

Not sure about the Ibis, that might be pushing my luck. Guess it depends on what time the flight is.

Sorry to hear, Sandy.

As it goes for me. I shall not be traveling with you guys out there.

I'll be boarding from Manchester and be going straight over there and meeting you guys. And since funds will be tight with another set of TE armor on the way, I won't be able to stay out with some of you guys in Columbus if you were planning that. So i'll be heading back straight after D*Con.

Ether way, i'll be there.

Got your e-mail, G

-Callum

Well, looks like the Wall Crew might be making our own way over direct from Glasgow too - And likely heading to Charleston for a few days before coming home from there.
Looking into options just now...

So, who will be flying back to the UK on the 3rd? Or will I be billy-no-mates on the return journey?

I guess I should add my name to the Ibis list since the Delta flight is an AM departure.

I've taken Callum off the Ibis list.

I've also taken Sandy off the list (sorry you can't make it).

Troon - We're looking at flying home direct from Charleston too, which is a further limiter on what flights/airlines we can go with.
I'd have liked to have kept the entire group together as much as possible, but with that big of a price difference ( Also factoring in Ibis hotel costs, price of train from Glasgow to London in the first place... )

Looks like there's not much of a choice.

Kris, the bigger pain in the rear is that if they fly Delta, they have to have 2 stops going home to Glasgow (or London even) from Charleston. If they fly United, there is one stop going to ATL, but there's also only one stop back (and Scapey will have been through the airport they changeover in both directions at least four times by then, so he'll know the drill). The more stops you add in, the higher the chance of lost luggage/missed flights/other flying pains. You also can't book two separate airlines on the flight there v. back unless you book it as two one-way tickets, of which a single one is more than the cost of the round-trip. Even if they booked United from London, they still wouldn't be on the same flight as everyone else anyway.

It's a lot of things all factored in together that caused them to consider flying straight from Glasgow, and while AFAIK they're pretty certain, I don't think they've 100% made the final decision yet.

It'll be a shame not having the Wall crew on the same flight but I can understand why it's easier to go from Glasgow.

Though I was looking forward to getting Bolty to join me in a round of 'The Mysterious Ticking Noise'...
