The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

The skeletal remains inside the command center (as seen in Eurogamers video) are a fantastic touch. Now I'm going to have to go back and see who bought the farm right there.

I'm adding this to the list of props I want to build. Great design on this; it really feels like the same level of tech as the motion tracker.

Every new video makes it look better, you can see they've put a lot of effort into getting it right.

Question is do I treat myself and go for the Collectors Edition? :?

king_p90: the goodies alone make the Collector's Edition worth it! That Powerloader model is going on my shelf at work for sure!

My willpower is weak, there's £70 gone! the goodies do look good (quite often some interesting bits in the dossiers).

Looks like all the in-game extras are multiplayer.

Got great news from Gearbox Community Manager ChrisF!

Apparently there will be an "Ultimate Bad Ass" mode that will provide the most authentic challenge. He gave an example of either a reduced or removed HUD. (He was pretty vague) Fans are also hoping it also includes white dots only on the motion tracker but at this point it is only speculation.

He also mentioned that the hologram that shows when you pick up a sentry gun is just a visual aid and when you pick them up, they are empty and need to be placed close to an ammo cache in that particular mission, but other than that they can be placed anywhere.

So excited!

Who will be playing on "Ultimate Bad Ass" mode? I AM!!!

It looks as though those remains are xenomorphs

You know GearBox are watching us 'experts' in this thread and just have 'pig in sh*t' grins on their faces right?

They seem to be doing a very good job making it Aliensesque down to some very fine details. Thank you guys!!

CHAPS!

There is a story trailer now, but by the looks of it. Hicks is not dead. ;)

Just watch carefully after the beginning recorded message from HICKS. and later on in the trailer? "Captain, who did we bring back?"

56 seconds: BELA stenciled in white.
57 seconds: CRUZ stenciled in black.

Because THAT's the important part of the trailer...

Cosmo:

Go back to the first shot of Hicks: same acid damaged shirt, same arm bandage!

I was just gonna post that to Cosmo Kramer ! It's gotta be Hudson . He's got the bandage and bdu shirt . At first I thought it was bruke . Due to being held at gun point with a bag over his head , prisoner style . But I'm betting on good ol Hudson now! It would be a great secret kept if its true .

on the ign site following the latest video released . a forum poster posted this . im going to repost it . very interesting idea that dosen't seem to far fetched !
m41a chudwoogy • 20 hours ago

hey chudwoogy, read this, i posted this earlier........I sent a idea to gearbox almost 2 years ago and it looks like they
listened to me.. I have actual proof with posts dated from Facebook and
aliens vs predator community.. , idea was they should stage hicks death
to
bring him back, have company soldiers from weyalnd yutani or
company spies dressed as marines hijack the sulluco, take hicks hostage,
maybe the company took a dead corpse and sent it to fury
calling it
hicks and didn't want anyone knowing he is alive..they wanted to kill
Ripley as well, but make it look like an undetected accident, plant a
queen hugger on board, not mention, infect a prison planet, "killing two
birds with one stone"., hicks is kept alive maybe knowing
too many company secrets...example :1 company holding him hostage
because he knows the colonial marines plans to
nuke certain infected colony's cause his own words were " nuke the site
from orbit'..now he may be aware of marine ships carrying nuclear
warheads, and weyland yutanis plan is to shoot them down preventing them
from losing their resources.... to make this even more interesting, example:2
have a surprise in this for us. hicks is a spy for the company
weyland yutani , not saying hes a bad guy, but in the film he could have
had secret orders from the company for a certain objective that we were not
aware
of in the film when he was with the marines, due to the circumstances
he could not achieve his secretive company objective due to his squad
getting wiped out...but now he may be going
a-wall against the company, not wanting any part of it seeing what it caused... and warning the colonial administration and
military, turning into his true good roots which he was to begin with ,
think about it "is this gonna be another stand up fight sir or another
bug hunt?""--Hudson..."a xenomorph may be in involved"--Gorman" "its a
bug hunt"--hicks....even hicks was sure what they were up against...not
saying hicks was even bad from the beginning, hes just owned by the
government, he had orders, disobeyed them, now warning the grunts and
taking their side for real....creating huge chaos with w.y private
military,
not to mention...adding some even possible unexpected enemies such as
traders of the colonial marines that are actual weyland yutani
mercenaries spies, maybe 'Oneal' is a bad guy, his
objective may be to kill hicks and lets say the new bishop everyone
thinks
is going to be good, may actually end up being another ash. there was
alot of great ideas me and other member's had posted on ALIENS VS
PREDATOR COMMUNITY, but this site no longer exists out of nowhere, so
all these ideas from over 2 years ago i have no way of proving there
were mine, but i have several posts on Facebook about it as back up, but
if you see any of these ideas, just think of me ;)

....pretty interesting idea ! :)

Bag Head Spoiler Below!

The person with the bag over their head is most definitely Hicks. Hicks also had a bandage on his left bicep when Ripley put him into cryo at the end of ALIENS, also when you compare the shirt Hicks is wearing in the video log to the shirt of the bag head person, they have the same rips and stains, also you can see the bandages over his left breast through some rips.

Awesome trailer but I feel like I would have enjoyed finding Hicks alive myself in the game, other than in a trailer months before the game releases, but thats my opinion :)

Love the winged death's head on one of the bandanas and the new armor art on the marines. What is the pictogram on Bella's armor? It looks like a Buddhist symbol I saw once, but I can't place it.
