The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I just stumbled upon this in my mom's basement. It says Raider on it, but that doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot. A quick look at Harry's site confirms that the blade and hilt are correct, but am I seeing it right that the handle should end in a screw-on cap or something? Mine has a very flat and narrow handle.

I'm torn on what to do with this as it is extremely sharp, but it was such a lucky find I may add it to my gear for non-con use. Are other folks using something similar?

It's a low cost sub for a vintage explorer night raider / scalemead knife.

Proportion is the same, and the sheath is almost exact.

Main difference is the handle, like you said.

To store survival things...

The bummer is that the handle is really all that shows. The strap that hold the knife in the sheath obscures half of the hilt so even that detail gets lost.

working on the EU basis, the gerber and explorer knives would probably be private purchase not issue items so personally i say go with it. it has the right 'feel' to it
