The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Better yet, come along, meet everyone and let all become clearly understood on both sides, that we may add another fellow to our proud ranks!

Otherwise, just to be facetious and pedantic, I'll start my own Colonial Marine group and have one single rule that states:
"Unless you were actually *IN* Aliens, *AND* were one of the Marines, *AND* are wearing the exact same costume you wore in every scene, *AND* have a certificate of authenticity signed by every single cast and crew member of the film, you're not 100% accurate enough and therefore not allowed"

The group membership will be small, but distinguished!

Guys I'm very new here but what I've seen ( at the woodhorn drop ) and read here since then has led me to one thought "why did I not find you guys sooner".
yes I'm apart of a star wars costume group that has a certain amount of structure, and that is fine with me within the context of that group and the slightly more rigid part of my personality.
what I've read regarding the UKCM and how you guys conduct yourselves appeals to the other % of me and I think I will thoroughly enjoy my time here.

@ Ttaskmaster your earlier rebuttal is one of the most structured well written informed and polite returns I have ever read on an Internet forum, well said sir.

@ Mantroon your follow on comment regarding your raging semi has made my night (no I'm not trying to picture the aforementioned comment ) However I now have to clean JD from my phone screen, floor and my nice shiney polish combats

Really?
No-one's ever said that to me before.....

Thanks, but I was just speaking my mind. Won't happen like that again, I promise - I'll be back to fluent bollocks soon as possible!

No more than the tone of this whole thread and far more humourous, hence the giggly faces.
Really, truly, honestly, this stuff is nowhwre near as serious as people think - From here on in, it's your call. Come see for yourself, or stay home and do... whatever it is you do at home, I guess.

You'll find, once you start coming to drops, that there's very often a load of bollocks coming out of Woody's mouth.

... Once he falls asleep outwith his DSA and we all teabag him ;)

Yeah, but the Brits tend to pay for my drinks when I'm in the UK. Not so much at DragonCon.

But I am ready to start tallying up the free drinks at this DragonCon to compare.... :)
