The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

So my son and i had a pretty cool day , went and met david , and he gave us the tour .you name it and he's got it , he definatly has some projects that will interest us all . Anyway , since he is nearing completion of his smarty , he was kind enough to give me a great deal on his (what appears to be a golden armor ) smartgun kit . while its not anywhere near as accurate as most , for the price it will do well for dcon . So as soon as i got home i did a little work on it ,the existing resin handle was wonky and bent so i cut it off drilled through the block and about 4 inches into the mg42 body . i then drilled two holes and tapped the galvinzed pipe ,making it super sturdy . my plan is to spend the day tommorrow working on it :D and thanks again dave super nice to meet you .

so i spent my day bolting her together i put another nipple in the front to attach the barrel and the braces , drilled and tapped again . installed another nipple and a 90 for the front handgrip , the only thing that i glued was the bottom trigger assembly . left out the camera and the crappy front sight , the front sight is real crap , cant even tell how to put it together so i left it out . more concerened about how im gonna make the arm .

I picked it up second or third-hand on eBay way back in 2005 or maybe 2006, so it is "vintage".
I agree with Cpl Potter, it is most likely the Golden Armour Kit.
I very much enjoyed giving them the grand tour of Casa de Dave ! ;)

thanks kev , and everyone else who has commented , ive always wanted to do the smart gun , the more i think about it i may do some "thinning " she is a heavy beast so i may be dremeling out some material , just to bring the weight down . As my "rig" won't be traditional . I plan on just using an alice belt and suspenders rather than the whole vest . im doing a hot weather sick and tired of wearing all the gear smartgunnner .
