The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I was planning to go Weyland-Yutani too (colonist uniform), but bring my PR if it is finished in time. I want to be comfortable in the theatre!

I will be going to the Prometheus premiere in my Colonial Marine uniform, still waffling on whether to bring the armor and rest of the kit, though.

I was thinking Superior Firepower shirt, along with Sulaco hat.

Maybe even Vietnam Jungle Boots with MAA 2nd Pat pants... Going "Boots and Utes" style...
Not enough to be uncomfortable, or stand out like a sore thumb, but just enough for someone that recognizes the gear to giggle like a schoolgirl.

I was thinking of going to the Midnight showing in my full CM Costume. I should be ok to take off the armor as I bought a extra ticket for a friend, who can not go. So I can probably put my armor chest pieces on this empty seat

I may wear my BDU's. The armor is definitely too bulky and uncomfortable to sit in to be worn in a theatre. I also have no way of detaching the combat knife from the grenade strap, and I don't want to get in trouble.

I want to bring my PR to do a photo along the lines of what clanger68 did with his stuffed cat, but like Spectre said, I don't want to get in trouble. My plan is to arrive early, clear it with the the theater manager, get the photo and then put the PR back in the trunk of my car before the movie starts. That way I'm not having to hold it through the film either.

I did your plan only early. As the theater was on the way to a friends house I went by there the other day and asked the manager. He replied "it is fine just no weapons fake or real please" I guess that means I need to leave my PR in the car once I walk into the theater, but will gladly wait outside the theater with it to pose for pictures for the crowd of Alien fans I will run into. I will however be taking my Motion Tracker and if they ask me to I will put it back in the car.

The Airsoft Reenactors Group went to the opening of Tropic Thunder in combat uniforms, without any guns, knives, or grenades, and we still had security show up and hassle us for about 10 minutes.

Would they prefer I brought my Aspen Beer can instead? I wonder... Maybe I'll pack both!

Went in my armor, no MT or PR. Did not get hassled once by security or management, did get a lot of people commenting on it such as "Game over man", "You Rock", "Awesome". Even got asked to take a few pictures.

I was kinda disappointed that I didn't take Abe to the London premiere since Giger attended. I might have been scared what he'd think of Cameron's Alien being there. But after seeing Prometheus, I'd like to think Giger would find a new appreciation for the creatures in the other Alien films ... ;)
