The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I don't know how I missed this either! this is my favorite kind of thread and it's been brilliant seeing the progress you've made from scratch! Well done!!! I'm sure that I remember the original airlock being part of Gary/John's collection at alien war london? I could be mistaken on that as I never actually saw it but I clearly remember us being told that the airlock release from the movie was going to be installed in the set to activate the self destruct before jumping in the lift. I was excited about seeing it but it didn't happen in the short time that I was there.

This would make the ultimate man-cave light switch or even the worlds most impressive toilet flush! :)

Oh my!

Mike that's truly a thing of beauty! Your casting looks perfect too - thank for posting the photos! Once the piece is finished I'll make sure the thread is moved to the Archives section to keep it safe.

Great work! :)

Mars, If you look at the original, it looks, by the weathering/scratches, like it was whitish painted red.

Great work indeed Mike. 8)

I love these build threads, there are so many fantastically skilled people on this site, it just amazes me.
