I just finished peping out my armour and tomorrow I will starting the fiberglassing the parts.

My problem is I dont know how to assimble the armour afther I finished the parts.
I like to know the mesurements for the buckels ( and how mouch I need )
What kind of cloth materials you use for holding the armour together. ( and how cm-or meters I have to buy of them )


If any one have photos or links how the armour looks like in the inside I would be grateful for it.

And If you have any other usfull tips for painting or assimbleing the armour. Im very noob in this and the only referenc i have is screen photos or cosplay guys and zero info how the parts conect to each other.

Not sure what you mean, but quite a lot in the archives are from the old forums, with lost images and links.

I wasn't being sarcastic by mentioning searching for armor/armour, I just provided the best links and then suggested that searching in the thread title (instead of the default search in posts) would give lots of other pics.

Afther so mutch hard work the armour fiberglassing has completed.



But when I taped the paces together for a test I noteiced a few errors I probebly made. I think I can sharp the armour with a heat gun so it could go to the correct shape. I dont know but it feels a bit too large ( maybe it has to be this big. I thought the armour should come more closer to may chest and back. ) My weight is 62kg and Im 172 cm tall.
What do you guys think?

I had to trim quite a bit off the sides of the back piece for mine.

I think the sides are a bit too long so you can trim them to fit.

I also found the waist to be very tight (I'm not fat!) and I scaled the armour up, trimming the sides has solved that issue though.

Looks very big.

All armour sets need adjusting to fit.

Here's my Spat armour, with the main change being the shoulder sections having a much tighter curve, so there's less strain over my narrow shoulders.

Thanks for the photos! In the weekend I try to shape and work on the armour.

Ideally, the sides of the chest/back plates should meet but not overlap.

I posted here a long time ago so here it is so far :

I have sorted out the fitting problems and shape it to the correct form. I used Bondo to make it more battle dameged and coarsed the surface. I also have cuted the helmet and Instaled the front armour on it with milliput.
I have sprayed the whole set with a base cote and then with forest green but it looked to bright. So I found some "dark green" regular paint ( no spray )and painted the armour but in the end it looks too shiny and glossy. ( it needs a nother coat of it to cover everything nicely ) Is there a method to make it more matt and less glossy?

Use matt paint?

As a base, look at olive drab green.

I've got the feeling that some one is going to say that:D But yeah your right Next week I re paint the whole armour becouse I stare them more I dont like the current colors on it.

Krylon flat olive green paint is the business. I used it for my armour.

So I Repainted the whole thing with Krylon olive green and Im happy with the result.
Afther that I have started and also finished the camo paint but Its need to be weathered, stressed cut the padding...ect.
Its still a lot of work to go but I can see the light in the end of the tunnel:D

Finally i have finsihed the paint job! Only have to do is assimble the whole thing. I got the feeling its goning to be a tough. I saw a few pics from the forum about the inside part of the armour but I have no idea how is going to come together but I try my best.
