The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Kevin it is indeed all screen used, except the L85 I am holding. That will shortly be replaced by Shanko morits shells wrapped around a screens used mini 14 dummy reciver and an ithaca m37 airsoft.

One of these days I am going to compile a decent collection of all of my costumes. As a reformed cosplayer, I have done quiet a few Anime related ones. Now I focus more on Steampunk and Sci Fi stuff. But my faves are:

Kurumi - Steel Angel Kurumi
Carmila - Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust
BSG Office Uniform
PFC Cheerleader - if I ever get the armor for this I will be happy!
More steampunk and Ren Faire stuff that I care to admit. But mostly Venetian Courtesan stuffs.

My Daughter and I still costume, but not much sci-fi here in Seattle. She is a lot older now then in some of the pictures ans her costumes fit better. I still need to do a little finishing on her DS helmet and get a picture of her in the MAA Flightsuit

Have to say my jaw was on the floor for a number of the pics I've seen so far, awesome :D

I haven't posted much around here or my domain lately but I've got plenty at the website in my signature.

May be blasphemous to post it here, but my favourite costume to date is my Jayne Cobb from Firefly outfit. Even Adam Baldwin has complemented me on it and mentioned me on stage and on his twitter account (a few times) for extra geek cred. ;)

Image

Some Samples other stuff aside from UACM:

Snake-Eyes (GIJOE)

... also Dusty, Dusty v.2, Shipwreck, Flint, Low-Light, Beach-Head (more GIJOE, probably forgot a few others :P)

On the Lighter side there's a couple newer vids of my Yip Yip costume from last July :P

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ft2wofJ6oqg&t=1m21s

Trying not to be too spammy, hope y'all enjoy :)

Some seriously, seriously awesome costumes! Even saw a couple of Kevin's I'd not seen before!

Alas, I have no pics, as my thrice-cursed photohosting site since '06 mysteriously vanished... :( :(

But here is a list -

Colonial Marines Rifleman
Colonial Marines Dress Blues
Colonial Marines Service C's

Battlestar Galactica Dress Blues

Ghostbusters

SG-1 Colonel O'Neill (Greens)
Stargate Atlantis - Col. Shepard (Greys)
Stargate Atlantis - Ronon Dex

Captain America - 80's Comic Version
Thor -
Batman-
Cable -

Underworld Evolution Deathdealer (Armored Vampire)

Star Wars-
Endor Commando (actually, it's an Endorious Basturd)
41st Elite Clonetrooper (to be converted to a Captain Rex)

And several others I probably forgot... 8)

Well.....

Costumes:

USCM Rifleman- In work.

Just need to convert a Thompson and I'm mostly square. (and abpad adjusting as was pointed earlier, but I haven't put it on, I missed Halloween this year when they sent me back to the States)

Image

BSG Colonial Marine (Regular and Razor) -In work
No pictures as its still coming together but I'm almost done!

BSG Green BDUs -In work

Shadowrun Street Samurai- A pipedream
Something I'd like to do but I need to find a look that fits what I want to do with this one. For those that don't know its a cyberpunk, cyberware enhanced "metahuman" who is supposed to follow Bushido and such. But in the game it really means anyone that replaces a majority of their body parts with cybernetics. Favored weapons being a futuristic MAC-10 and katana.

Captain America "Ersatz Uniform" -Another Dream
The one he kinda just threw together in the movie (and I believe in a few comic lines they drew him with a more "WW2" mindset in terms of his costume.

Panama Hat -In work
Picked up a wonderful, tailored suit while in Thailand, not exactly screen accurate but all I need to round it is a Panama Fedora and some white leather shoes. In reality this is going to be my sort of "retro" summer suit. Tried to get it all cut in an older style, high waisted, high armholes, etc.

Reenacting
I do plenty of this:

Co. B, 85th Illinois Volunteer Infantry (Don't have any pictures of myself in it)

Co. K, 8th Lousiana Volunteer Infantry
Had a wet ferrotype done of me while I was on leave and at an event once:
Image

Co. B, 100th Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team
My primary WW2
Image

One of my favorites taken with a vintage camera, the photographer later shopped it up to look like a LIFE cover shot. Totally candid I happened to turn around to holler at a new guy to move him to a better spot.
Image

82d/101st/17th US Paratrooper
I can do any of them from mid to late war. Pictured in a "post D-day jump gear dump"
Image

Photoshop!
Image

Marine/Naval Aviator
Got a few small items to get, though I'd love to get a QAS Harness without the parachute pack.
Image

US Marine Mid-Late War
Working on getting some Khakis and dirtying up my first pair of Dungarees more to get something a bit early war. And of course a M1903 or P17.

"Iwo Jima/Okinawa"
Image

Grossdeutschland
Only do this to fight the Russian reenactors mostly.
Image

Non-snowy:
Image

American Volunteer Group
Image

US Marine Service "Wintergreens"
Bit in work, got a correct expert badge and working on acquiring some correct period ribbons.
Image

Fallschirmjaeger, FJR6 -In work
I've always been drawn to the FJ's for some reason now that I've read a lot more about them, and all the FJ units where I'm at are pretty laid back and cool dudes. Why not I says? Got a long way to go. May even try to secure some correct gear to put together a Sanitater (Medic) deal too.

I've also been known to galavant around as a US Marine
Image

And aircraft maintainer.

Image

That cranial with some converting would make an awesome Gundam 08th MS Team Pilot's helmet. :D I guess I can add that to the "dream" list too.

Pics or it didn't happen. ;)

ODST! How could I forget that one! My helmet is done, but the rest of my suit is still only half done.
I really need to get off the xbox and start working on projects again... :)

That's just a poor phone camera pic. The real thing looks MUCH better.

The helmet has a dual visor setup, with a blue tint exterior and a smoked interior held in place with Velcro.

You can NOT see the face of the person wearing it. :)

yeah, I need to finish the armor. I've resin reenforced all the pieces, and now it's just down to
trimming, painting and assembly. After the hell I went through making my Transformers NEST
body armor, this should be easier...

I don't have much - WY employee, Snow Trooper, Velma, and a whole lot of stuff I wear for the Renaissance Festival (lots of corsets, flowy skirts and nice tall boots).
