The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Been checking this every day and the price is the following.

Passenger 1 Adult

Fare £196.00

Taxes, fees, charges and surcharges per person £329.56

Total price* £525.56

This is a real pain.

ODIN, just to be explicit: Are you expecting to attend D*Con with the UKCM in 2012?

Well, I can stop stressing about flight prices now as I'm not going to be able to make it this year....

But I will be there in 2013! :D That's if the world doesn't end first though.

Anyone want to buy a cheap pass?

$20, so actually my pass isn't cheap, it's the same price as if you bought it straight from the D*Con website right now.

Already had two nibbles though so it's not for sale any more.

You would be advised not to attempt to take your Pulse Rifle to D*Con, even if you're VCRA registered.

Delta has flights from GATWICK to Atlanta for £480, a saving of about £45.

I'm not a big fan of Delta or Gatwick (personally, I think the relative pleasantness of LHR T5 is worth it), but we could change if people think it's worth it.

Opinions please, ASAP ...

For us, £45 is a big saving (£90 for the two of us), and this year we are so stretched money-wise every penny counts, so I'd vote in favour if the cheaper flight via Delta.
It is still a direct flight.

I have checked Delta's website and for international flights, a meal is complimentary. Beer and wine is also complimentary. I assume you would have to pay for spirits.

To me (and you know don't drink much anyway) that sounds like a good deal.

I'm not fussed with regards to Gatwick or Heathrow, I have no preference.

What do others think?

Cheers,
Karyn

Ok. even though its more than i was budgeting for, i have saved enough money for the flight. HOWEVER, with my upcoming wedding sucking all my money, i dont have a clue how im going to save up for hotel and beer money! :(

Im tempted to just take the risk and buy a flight (its only going to get more expensive) in the hope that i can save enough by september.
So who is definatly going?
