The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi guys !

I went here often, with links found on the RPF or on the net.
It's an awesome website with great resources !

I am building a motion tracker... And I've got almost all the parts...

So I thought I could be a part of your community now, if you won't mind, and that it was time for me to register !

Thanks !

As for myself, I'm an active member of the 501st and Rebel Legions (Georgia Garrison CO and Rebel Legion CO). I'm trying to expand my costuming interests a bit and these films have always been enjoyable to me. So, at any rate, hope to chat with some of you soon.

Hey, my name is George. I've had an interest in the Alien series since I saw the first movie way back when I was a 10 yr old kid in 1979. Aliens was the movie that really got me going, one of my top movies.

Got a HCG Pulse Rifle which got everything moving to get the rest of the kit done.

George

Hi everyone,

My name's John, from Sheffield UK. I've been a massive fan of the Aliens genre since seeing the original film on TV back in the early eighties, followed by the cinema release of Aliens in '86... Yes I really am that old!

Have to admit I'd heard little about Sci-Fi costuming, apart from the 501st Legion, until now. I found my way here after talking with one of the UKCM guys on a UK based airsoft forum recently.

I've collected various Aliens related items over the years from paperback books & graphic novels to Halcyon kits & Leading Edge gaming minatures. Even managed a visit to Alien War in London on the pretense of going to the Royal Tournament many years ago too. I'm currently close to finishing the build on a King Arms M1A1/G&P pulse rifle kit which is something I'd toyed with doing for years.

In case anyone wonders, my alias is my favourite character from the old Dark Horse series of comics. He featured in an early story, Aliens: Rogue.

All the best.

John. :)

Greetings,

Name's Brandon, I'm from Brisbane, Australia. Only signed up a couple of hours ago.

I've been a fan of Aliens since I first saw the film back in the early '90s. Loved it then, loved the Special Edition even more. It's one of my top three action films (The other two are Die Hard and Terminator 2: Judgment Day if you're curious. Predator is a close fourth).

I recently stumbled upon a set of MAA USMC BDUs, and that was the tipping point for doing a Colonial Marine costume; something I've been umming and ahihing about for a while now. I was leaning towards doing a generic set of armour, but a friend suggested recreating Hicks' set. I'm taking it under advisement :P

I'm looking forward to the upcoming Aliens: Colonial Marines game, if only for playing co-op in that universe. Though my perfect setting for a Colonial Marines game would be a prequel to Aliens, watching that squad of Marines fight through various missions in that dangerous and politically compromised and complex universe. Of course, it would only work if you could as many of the cast back to do the voice work. Given their fondness for the film in that most recent Empire film, they'd at least be open to it :P

It'll never happen though.

Anyway, be seeing you,

Magnus Darcrider

Hey all! My name is Jason and I am a big fan of the first three films. My favorite part of Aliens (2) is the Dropship sequence.

I started construction of a replica of the cockpit back in July and have tried to blog about it regularly. I appreciate any feedback you might have!

I am also getting excited about the 5th movie in the franchise!

Hello all. I am a new member from the United States. I am a huge Aliens fan and just started a full metal, hero, pulse rifle build. I am sure I will learn many things from this forum and I am elated such a thing exists to unite true fans of such a wonderful franchise.

Cheers.

I've been lurking for a while so I figure I should introduce myself (and be active!)

I'm Stacy and I'm pablo_fiasco's sister (pity me). I'd say that I've always been a more casual fan of Aliens but all of my wonderful USCM and UKCM friends I've definitely ventured out of the realm of casual. And in the true sport of sibling one-upmanship I'm getting some of Spat's armor... however it's a bit more.... custom shall we say? It will be a marvelous shade of pink and once I get it I'll adorn it with rhinestones, cat ears, and Munkey will draw on it for booze. It will be a terrifying set of Hello Kitty armor! Not only will I get the satisfaction of making my brother insanely jealous, but I get the added benefit of scarring people for life.

And finally, I also like baking, eating steak, long walks on the beach, and drinking alcohol. :)
