The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Just thought I'd show you all my stand-in pulse rifle parts.

I can't afford an airsoft or anything else for that matter so I decided to make some rough cardboard parts to fill out my shrouds :)
I didn't bother with the vents in the spas and barrel part because cutting them out would of warped the cardboard.

I'll be making the pump grip and then painting it all for a better finish too.

Here's the pics:

More detail but less accurate....

No point pepping it, it's getting replaced.

Very nice! Your proportions are spot on. When you no longer need the card parts you could make card shrouds and make a cool stunt rifle :)

Thanks for the help with the SPAS cage Nick, it was spot on with the shrouds :)
Haha! Yeh that's a good idea with the stunt rifle, I'll be able to reenact the 'mags on fire' scene all day long ;)

looks dam good man. keep it up, i always luv when people go the cheap way and make things look damn good. did that on a halo build making a sniper rifle from a nerf gun.

Video teaser was just a test for editing/uploading, props are still being built. will have a much better one perhaps next year.

I think it's really impressive that you could build something so accurate with thick cardboard, which isn't exactly the most precise material. ;) Speaking of which, was it too thick to make the vent holes in the SPAS cage and stock?

Haha! Cheers Nick, just give me a bell if you wanna jump around with it. I'll look after yours for you :D Hehehe!!

Thanks allot Filandrius, cardboard is my friend :)

Yeh your kinda right, buts its not really the thickness of it that's the problem. The only good way of cutting round shapes out of cardboard properly is using a punch but I don't have one. If I just cut them out with a hobby knife or scissors them the cardboard would get bent and warped in the process, so I just left it alone!! Far easier!
