The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I've recently aquired a G&P/Tokyo Marui airsoft M41A after searching quiet some time and I feel like I could totally make one of these, is there a big interest for some kits to start poping up? Those of you with G&P kits, any recommendation on changes?

Hi MiDri. You can't go far wrong by taking a look at the HCG Pulse Rifle, that's the most accurate replica out there right now.

Do you mean modifications to the G+P kit?

I read the post as he wants to make copies of the G&P Pulse Rifle, with possible modifications/improvements?

No mention of how/what they're going to be made out of though?

Basically I was thinking of measuring the thing up (not recasting) and creating some custom molds that fit to the M1A1 nicely like the G&P kit does. I'm thinking of making a few different quality kits, ABS, cold cast aluminum, some rubberized material and see what people want the most. I'd love to see more people doing Airsoft with M41A so my main focus is going to be getting kits out that allow for functional use of the M41A on the airsoft field. CYMA makes a cheap $170 Thompson now so if I can manage to get the price I can get kits sold down to a few hundred dollars I think they would be cheap enough people would not be afraid to use them in the field. Also I'm going to see about getting some aluminum cut for the metal pieces and see what that will entail.

I've also recently acquired a few LIPO batteries and I'm going to see about setting those up in the magazine area (they're thin) so we can free up the shotgun and maybe get it working for real.

I just figured I'd gauge interest, sense G&P is no longer making their kits (any one know why they stopped?)

Im not sure they have completely stopped - the G&P distribution website shows them in stock, so retailers can still order them in.

I believe ARES/STAR knocked off the G+P kit.

Probably not worth the investment in making an entire kit.

Resin poured parts are not skirmish friendly..

If someone could make aluminum formed shrouds, then you would have some interest.

I've shot them an email before and they're not real forthcoming with any info regarding the kits... I don't think they mark anything Outofstock anymore ;p
