But it's too complicated with those +numbers, especially with no names there.

To keep it simple though lets just leave the 'paid' list to those who Malika has had payment from or she'll look at that and get a brain freeze like I just did. OK guys, checked on the dress code, No jeans/BDUs I'm afraid. Steve (DATA), maybe you could borrow some strides or nip down to Oxfam, pick up a pair for a fiver. It's only one night and nobody expects you to go out and buy a new pair. Would be great to have you there, you would be missed dude. Raid the ol'mans wardbrobe!

I cant get trousers in my size, i have to order them in especially and trust me they wont get here in time and the cost is prohibitive. The work trousers i use are inappropriate if you want me going looking like a car mechanic from the waste down.

I do have very black jeans, quite smart looking with a large shirt over the top covering the pockets no one can tell. If that's not good enough then i may have to pull out not only of the meal but the entire event. I consider the meal as part of the whole weekend and i don't want to be stuck in my hotel room while my mates are just up the road enjoying themselves because i know I'd just sit there stewing and have a bad feeling for the rest of the weekend which would ruin it for me.

I know, I know it's my fault for being a fat basket.

I try to work something out.

Thanks Rich, leave it with me today, don't even think about pulling out mate, I will get back to you later today. We'll sort something out.

So is it safe to say the diner is on? After all a fair few will be departing next week for D*Con. I know your working hard in the Background Andrew and also have your own job to boot, for that mate mucho gratitude. It would be a great shame to have the diner pulled due to all the hard work done by AL/UKCM folk in the background and of course on the two days and let's not forget the money asked for to help with other aspects of the NSC event. I know I for one am looking forward to the event for costuming and entertaining the public (we are the No1 ALIENS cvostume group) and then of course there's the evenings with all our friends and celeb friends. Something like a pat on the back "job well done" reward that we pay for ourselves if you will. So here's to no more veiled threats of this being pulled and a great positive event for us all.
