Pelican Case 1700 for the M41A Pulse Rifle
I just whipped this case out tonight and finally took the time to cut out the foam.
All in all I'll rate this case a 9.5/10. And the choice of model 1700 for use in protecting the M41A pulse rifle turned out to be nearly perfect. There's a little bit of room left for maybe putting some accessories in like a few "30mm" grenades and or a spare mag.
The Pelican 1700 is one of the shorter rifle cases that pelican makes. I picked "OD" green.

The main carry handle sticks out and doesn't pivot. I'd prefer if It did, but that may be for good reason.

It has build in casters, and they're hidden pretty well. Me likey.

Personally, I used painter's blue tape, but it wasn't sticky enough. If I have to do this again I'll try something else.
I used a very sharp knife to do the job, but having done it the hard way, I think the "easier way" with an electric carving knive would produce cleaner cuts.

Overall shot

I'm not too happy with the way the curves came out in the pistol grip, but all in all it came out alright.

And then with the cut-out foam piece, you get...
Baby's First Pulse Rifle!
