The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Who is this dude?

I don't appreciate being insulted on his ebay auctions or on youtube.

"homemade screen accurate (ish) slings are available from the U.S. but you’d be looking to pay around $50 plus postage for these

Because these are not 100% accurate, 99% in my opinion, they are priced accordingly plus you get the fixings and a shoulder pad"

WTF, gov?

My stuff is not homemade, and your crap is nowhere near accurate.

I don't know what you do for your day job, but I do industrial soft goods for a living.

Don't support this guy, he obviously has the facts wrong

Matt I may be a bit of a noob but after looking at 2 or 3 pictures of your sling and comparing it to 5 mins to the blue ray, then looking at his and comparing. His do look somewhat accurate as far as pictures go width wise and stuff, but the coloring and whole layout of the sitching/pattern on it is no where near screen accurate. Now yours on the other hand are right on the money if I had the skills I could prob photoshop a picture of 1 of your slings and replace it on one of the screens of the movie, it would look exactly the same.As far as that "person" goes the only way he knows how to market is by tearing someone's great and truely SA work down. I am sure karma and God(whichever way you believe) will get him his soon enough.

so as far as this "person" goes pay them no mind, go on with your life and know to 95-99% of the people who want are completely interested in SA slings/costume will buy from you as I am sure that percentage is here on this forum.

Edit: Replaced Idiot with "Person" and fixed a grammar error or two.

You've gotta love it when you have to resort to low blows and slag sessions. Keep your chin up mate, he's just trying to project his insecurities onto you.

Gotta love the plastic hardwear

Just left a message on his video too. Let me know if youd like me to remove it Matt.

""The guy in America"s slings are £30 a pop due to them being professionally made (NOT homemade) and the best and most accurate money can buy. It's great to see you supply a well needed product to the community and in the UK too but please dont mock his fantastic items to sell yours when yours are of a lower accuracy and quality."

Yeah, criticising others work isn't the right way to make friends and sell products.

It's not clear but I think the statement "Because these are not 100% accurate, 99% in my opinion, they are priced accordingly plus you get the fixings and a shoulder pad" refers to his product and not Matt's, am I right there?

That's how I read it... But he's still basically saying "Don't buy Matt's, buy mine!".
No need to even mention Matt's slings!

I agree with Harry I think the comment about being 99% accurate and priced accordingly is referring to his own product although his non-existent punctuation does make it unclear!

However referring to slings available from the US as "home made screen accurate (ish)" is certainly a derogatory comment aimed at others, presumably your good self.

Have you considered complaining to Ebay and YouTube if the video is in any way derogatory? (sorry not watched it as I'm on a mobile broadband dongle @ present and Videos eat download allowance!)

I also read this as referring to his own sling and not Matt's.

But he thinks his sling is 99% accurate? That sling is a joke!

Gotta love those "99% accurate" plastic clips he uses!

I think the most insulting part of his attack on Matt is the use of suffix "ish" when referring to Matt's product. Matt's product is not accurate-ish; it IS accurate!

Man we really need a thumbsdown emoticon here! :x

Easily one of the lowest forms of advertising- bashing the competition.

I'm pretty sure there was a seller with an extremely similar (yet different) name to him that was selling really poor ghostbusters stuff. He/She again quoted it was 'not 100% accurate but better than other options', the other options being cast from the same components as screen used ones.

It could be a coinsidence but the in my eyes the similarities are too alike....

Much like their inability to produce an accurate product- it's either ignorance, or laziness.

They look OK as general Airsoft slings, but they're not accurate - The clips at the ends are about as inaccurate as it's possible to get!
As far as I'm concerned, they're no better than grabbing the sling from a sports holdall and using that.

Well, it is definitely not 99% accurate for sure.

He has edited his auction listing description. (getting a little better)

I don't mind that he sells them. It is the put down on me and the false information that ticks me off.

I wouldn't recommend it for a HCG Rifle. For 12 bucks more, you can get a truly accurate sling from me.

Mine costs more due to low production quantity, sourcing the original vintage clips, and being made in the USA. (Not China)

His would be okay for a low cost all resin rifle.

Hi Matt,

just read this and it makes me sick when I see people bashing other peoples work to make some bucks.
What makes it worse is the fact that he claims his sling to be screen accurate ....

Nevertheless, I'd say simply ignore him. Trough it surely is annoying, it's not worth the trouble.
Those customers who care about accuracy will know what to make of this and/or inform themself before buying and those who don't will lear it the hard way.

You never let me down in any regard (accuracy, quality, service, .. you name it) and thus your are one of the very few I buy stuff from without any hesitation.

Cheers,
Stefan
