The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I did manage to get the postcard last week. I was a tad confused about it.

Guard it with your life.

You'll need it (and ID) to collect your badge. Lose it and it causes a delay.

Is it bad that I want to buy a fire safe just to keep that stupid card someplace safe until the last day of August?

Thanks Tony for the support.
Am still looking for some floor space or do I need to curl up to the Coke machine down the hall?

I have filed away the postcard till I ship to Atlanta, so it's in good hands. All I need to do is find a flight and get a ticket in advance.

Its my first Dcon, I'm allowed to be a little giddy right? At least I didn't get a safety deposit box for it...

You don't even need the thing. I accidentally forgot mine last year, got through just as quick as in previous years.

I never received mine last year. I thought not having the postcard would hold the line up behind me for a half hour but it took no longer than it would have normally taken to check myself in. I only had to whip out a form of photo I.D. No biggie.

I'm out.

Bought a big tv so there went my disposable funds. I booked a room- but I've transferred it to another member.

Really sucks as there are a lot of new members and old hats I've never met in person that are going this year. :(

As for the parade- if Rex doesn't take the reigns, I'm sure someone else here can do it. It really takes very little effort and there is no limit to spots (in other words, the parade can be as big as it gets, there is no ceiling to the number of participants- so you don't have to worry about us "not getting a spot fast enough"). There is only a sign up deadline which is usually in the first few days of August. Plenty of time.

Kevin
