The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Heart looks like it is the wrong shape too. And the hasp is too long. Even the lock itself looks wrong.

Unless of course the armour plate itself is genuine and everything else has been added afterward (because the original straps and lock/hasp were lost). Wouldn't explain the difference in the heart and armour font.

The story about the origins of the replica armor in Seattle is interesting - that particular set was sold by Profiles at auction to a private collector in Los Angeles by Profiles in History as original. When it became clear the set was in fact not screen used, Profiles sourced an actual screen used Hicks set and swapped it out for the replica... that exact replica is now what's on display in Seattle. The "larger" name stencil is usually a giveaway in these cases.

It says: "Woody, keep your thieving mitts away from this exhibit".

There was a set of Apone armor on display at one of the Planet Hollywood
locations. I don't recall which one, but I think it was in the South Western US.

Vegas? Colorado? I don't recall. Willie might know.

The lobster plates on that helmet look like MAA or Spat! Seems the padding has been robbed.

The Plaque, pertaining to the Hicks armor says:
(Unfortunately I didn't take a pic of the plaque directly, and because of glare from the glass, and its a bit blury I can't read all of it but to the best of my vision it says the following)

(XXXXX Represents words I can't see.)

"XXXX, Used by Colonial MArines in the Film Aliens 1986

(Series of numbers I think)
From the (Sombody) Family Collection

Helmet and Armor worn by Michael Biehn, as Colonial Marine Cpl Dwayne Hicks, in the film Aliens 1986

Numbers
From the (Somebody) Family Collection."

* I think the Somebody Might be Paul Allen Collection but not 100% certain on that one.
I have a much larger copy of the picture if anybody wants.....
