The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I'd buy one of those Matsou bullpups. I've got a thing for Bullpups.

I'll address the safety selector and mag catch as it progresses.

It would be a lot easier to NOT use a thompson for the build but it is what it is. :)

Nice one Trevor. What's nice about the SA-80 is that it has the OD furniture, giving it a PR kind of look to it. And please don't say anything about BB. PLEASE.

i agree with it needing a longer barrel, as thats the whole idea of a bullpup long barrel whilst making the overal weapon shorter

I dont think it needs a longer barrel it's already 14.5 inches, which is 2 inches longer than the stock PR abrrel.

Did some pixel pushing to make it reflect the changes I would have to make for it to fit the thompson mech box.

If I do make this I'm positive these early sketches will not survive intact.

The barrel is already long. It starts at the rear of the rifle where the magazine is, so you get barrel length without it protruding too far out of the main body. Thats the whole point of a bullpup.

I LOVE that design Matt

I think perhaps you mean as is standard on the SA80 rather than Bullpups in general? :?

Here, I did a 20 inch 'rifle length' barrel, and added a bayonet lug.
