That's two proud Marines right there if ever I saw them!
Congratulations guys!

Harry
Thank you so much! It is a fantastic honor to join the ranks of the AL Gold Wings!! To say I was stunned and proud at the same time is an understatement!
There were soooo many things for the Colonial Marines this year- Thurs night's 1st annual Meet n Greet, the Friday Morning Blood Drive (which I was late for! Aack!) the Parade, the Sun Trust photo shoot-which I directed to become a video comic book. Our videographer was a no show (don't know what happened, it was a GO when I talked to her the night before) but we fell back on the original plan- the storyline is a rescue mission- USCM HQ has lost contact with a unit at a Weyland-Yutani facility. Last message received was from a Dropship Pilot - "We are being overrun- they are coming..." Two squads of Marines landed, fought their way through the facility, overcoming a horde of the sneaky Xenomorphs, rescuing the valiant pilot and emerging victorious, though not without casualites. The WY Tech was a very good sport, being wounded and unable to care for him, as the xenos were going to overrun the position, was mercifully shot by the dropship pilot...
I'd like to thank our cast for working so hard, enduring re-takes, and just plain coming through! From Rob wading through the waters, to Abe and Kerneos being put into back straining positions, climbing walls, it was a lot of fun. We had quite the crowd watching the climatic final scene, as the dropship pilot prepares to sell her life dearly, taking as many xenomorphs with her as possible. Then, the decimated two squads re-unite and in a blaze of gunfire, rush the alien horde and rescue the pilot!!
There were many cameras used- both still and video. We need to collect them, sort through the pics and put them in some type of cohesive order.

Then add some special effects, gunfire, bloodspurts, etc.
A volunteer for the Special Effects would be outstanding!

The dinner was outstanding. Good times, great camaradarie! From an outstanding choice of Rob Slater (Tarim-Rex) of Most Valuable Marine, putting together the Maryland Marines website, to being the Weaponsmaster for the UKCM at DragonCon, it was an well deserved honor.
Then Derek and I were stunned by the AL Gold Wings Award. What can I say? Thank You.
