The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi guys.

I'm after a simple favour from our French speaking community if I may please.

I am making up vehicle signage for a convoy deployment through France.
There is apparently no requirement to include signage in French but I'm going to anyway to just cover all bases.

Signs must read "CONVOY AHEAD" and "CONVOY FOLLOWS".

I'm loathed to use an online translator as I know how inaccurate they can be, even for such a short phrase.

Can anyone offer me the correct wording please?

EDIT - I've been given "CONVOI EN AVANCE" and "CONVOI SUIVANTE" as likely candidates. How does that sound to those who know?

Equally if any current of former French military can tell me what official wording is used to mark the lead and rear vehicles in standard convoys (troop movements i.e. no abnormal or dangerous loads) that would save any guesswork all together.

Thanks very much

G
