The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

11. Our payment plans operate over a period agreed at time of deposit. We require a 20% non refundable deposit which secures your item and then regular monthly payments from your credit card. Your item is then shipped once the plan completes via your chosen method. A payment plan can only be cancelled due to exceptional circumstances and only at the discretion of the Propstore management and will only be refunded in the form of a store credit. No cash refunds.

As seen through terms and conditions.

But if you enquire why they can tell you. I doubt they would be doing wrong. But like you said.

Sell it for a very good price. I have a feeling that you could sit on a pile of gold for this!

Not sure about other countries but a user agreement cannot over ride laws in Canada. I guess the law would apply based upon where they are not where the customer is tho, so you may be SOL.

AS a foreigner I can only hope that they write on the box with a red marker "THIS IS A TOY" . I feel Im going to have a nasty time with fees and regulations if the customs think else. Besides I dont want them to take the virginity of the box or rifle. I hate getting half opened packages with disturbed contents. If the box get stuck it will go up and down the bureaucracy and every time I loose another 50$ before they realize I cant hurt a fly with it. *sigh

That's a pretty gloomy picture you paint there, Jonsey. I know exactly what you mean about having the contents of packages "groped" by postal inspectors before they arrive in your hands. I hope for your sake it doesn't come to all that... or in the words of Lt. Gorman, that it all goes "smooth and by the numbers".

Hi Eric,

Thank you for your email! The Aliens Hero Pulse Rifles are shipping
from the factory this month. The time on the water may indeed take us
into January, also for allowance with customs inspections.

The anticipated delivery was December, but I can tell you that it
won't be long after then that we will have them in stock to ship.

Have a great day!

oh boy oh boy :D :D SO they sill be shipping this month from wherever they are making them and then we will hopefully be getting them either LATE this month or sometime in January...

So it's been over a month since the last update was posted in the thread. Anybody have any new news to post so people aren't itching to bug HCG by calling them up or filling up their inbox with more questions? :P

Hi All, just thought I would let you know that I emailed Propstore this morning to enquire about my order and expected delivery dates.....Tim got back to me straight away with this;

Hi David

We have been told now that we can expect delivery 2nd quarter of this. So I'm sorry to say, its yet another delay I'm afraid.

Rest assured I do have your order on file.

Regards
Tim.

Oh well! at least I have my PR Sling courtesy of Matt to look forward to!! :P

People seem to forget in this internet age of instant gratification that sometimes there are delays in manufacturing. Especially if you are having an item made in a foreign country with different schedules/holidays, etc.

They'll get here when they get here. No amount of 'want-it-now'-ishness will speed up time.

Now, back to work on that functioning flux capacitor... ;)

On the contrary I am happy to wait! to be honest I need this extra time to get the funds together.....My email to propstore was more to get confirmation that they still had me down for my order as it's been so long since I placed it. Just thought the folks on here might be interested to know that ETA has now moved to 2nd quarter!

by the way, if you do manage to get that flux capacitor working how about whizzing to the future......grabbing me my PR and then dropping it off for me! I would give you something towards the cost of banana skins!!!!!

Russ has me down to a T.....I want it and I want it now....but I do understand the delay.....just would be nice for HGC to inform us.

I mainly want it now because the funds to pay for it I'll be getting in the form of my bonus tomorrow....not sure if I can hold onto them long enough now!!

I dont " want it now" i want it 4th quarter of last year. a basic rule of selling is if its gonna take 4 weeks tell them 6 that way your the best when you deliver early , and if its delayed you have'nt lied . i canceled my order today , not because they didnt deliver 4th quarter , and not because they probably wont deliver 1st quarter , i canceled my order because they wont give me any serious updates , they were quick to jump on the boards when they wanted our money , but now that they have most of it , they aren''t so quick to update us , that and the rude responce i got to the email i sent them .bottom line is they need to sell , i don't need there product . lets face it it will be a thousand dollar wall hanger , because you will never leave the house with it for fear of breaking your expensve toy , anyway . now im in the market for a matsucorp pr ( anyone?)

From The RPF:
Quote:
No concrete updates on the Pulse Rifle ie. a confirmed ship date from the factory. We are still very hopeful of getting them in the first qtr of the year, but I cannot say that for sure yet.
The molds to produce the Aluminum shrouds are very time consuming, getting them exactly the same as the Hero we used for reference.
If we had made the shrouds from fiberglass, resin or plastic you could have had them last year....but you wouldn't want that.
Obviously we would like these to be completed and shipped asap as we have significant funds invested, BUT the last thing we want to do is rush it.

When we have something concrete you will be the first to know!

Incidentally the Alien bust, Lifesize Alien statues, Predator 2 helmets and Alien Chestbursters are all on their way to us & should be in our warehouse & shipping early February.

Mark

My last pulse rifle (functioning airsoft version) cost me well over $1K to build, and I still took it everywhere (Dragoncon, Marscon, airsoft skirmishing, etc.).
I'll probabaly tote this one about as well. Probably not so much when I get my hero rifle finally done, but you get the idea. :)

If you can't find one of Matt's rifles, consider one of Spat's new models. They're pretty nice for the price.

Delays are unfortunate and it's especially hard to bear when it's something you're dyin' to get your mitts on. If it's gotta be 2Q, then so be it. I won't set eyes on mine until next summer anyway, and then I will most definitely be taking it to DCon with me in Sept., 'cause it'll be the only PR I have. As long as it isn't delayed until 3Q, I can manage to live with it. :|

Can't help by make a comment about this statement ... BUT ... they are still in process of making molds ??? I don't know whether to laugh or cry. This would be like GM or Toyota talking up about their latest model, which most of production orders have been paid for or deposits taken, then announcing .. um, you need to wait a bit still, becuz we are in process of making the tooling. Sorry, but no doubt the product delivery delay is for certain, but it's hard to swallow the explanation. Chinese factories don't fool around also .. once they've been paid to produce a product. When exactly was the production started on this then ? Last November ?? Sorry, but this just doesn't make much sense to me.

I get what you're saying, but I'm hoping that's not what it means Steve- otherwise...

I'm thinking it just means that the process of making the molds took longer than they expected. The molds might already be done, and they are producing rifles, just way behind schedule.

But really there is something to be said about a major company taking money without having a product "in hand ready to ship" first.

Sadly, the days of buying things that are already out the door and in stores are all but gone, primarily in the collectibles market. I'm sure a lot of us remember when paying for something before it had even been produced was unheard of, but now that has pretty much become the norm. Pre-order now, or take a chance on missing out altogether... Sometimes I really miss the way it used to be. :(

I'd normally have an anti-consumerist rant here, but since I already made my thoughts known in the Avatar thread, I'll refrain.

I will, however, suggest that there is possibly a genuine reason for the delay due to current credit-crunching things.
I'd still hope to be kept informed, though. That's just bad form.

I live in Florida,so I figured I call HCG and see when Q2 actually is,Alex told me March before the pulse rifle were shiping, that's defenately Q2 the end of Q2' and I would'nt be suprised if that is when they arrive at the warehouse, figure another three weeks shipping(cause you know they're not shipping until everyones final payment is in).I also ordered the chestburster and thats delayed.I understand delays, maybe they didnt start manufacturing these things until a certain amount of orders were met,I don't know,I only hope that these puppies are freakin sweet and not a letdown. And I better not see an orange barrell tip or I'll drive to HCG and get my money back.
