The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I guess you haven't played Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis or it's add-ons, or Armed Assault 1 & 2 then? ;)

It's been very popular on the gaming forum I'm on with plenty of stories of co-op battles against the odds.

I've only allowed myself to buy one game this year, and that was Forza 3.

The first OFP game came out in 2001, so I reckon any PC today could run it.

But, as far as I'm aware, Rich didn't buy a PC today. Hence why he has the Xbox version! ;)

Sixty quoted the original game, Rich replied that he doubted his PC could run it, so I posted that I reckon it could.

Typing that out tired me so much that I'm going to bed now. :D

I was thinking about buying this, but I'm pretty sure my computer wouldn't run it, at least, not well, haha.

On an unrelated note, I just reinstalled the original Operation Flashpoint, and I forgot how much fun it is! (despite its rather dated graphics)

Maybe I just needed a break from hours of Empire Total War...

How does Dragon Rising look on the xbox?

I found the first game so hard. I just hit the deck and stayed there. I just ran for the treeline and watch the village get splatted by those tanks. I found the forest mission so damn hard. i always got picked off. You get hit once your dead. Its not like the COD games with health and lives.

I love the Flashpoint series. This new one is a different company though. Any comparison to Cold War?

Sorry for the Necro-post but another by-product of todays "Googling" for images of the VP70 produced this a Colonial Marine add-on for Operation Flashpoint which gives you Marines, Pulse Rifles and even an APC also mentioned in the text, once Chrome translates it from the native Czech, although not pictured are VP70's, M42's and M56 Smartguns! OK so the Marines aren't perfect especially the leg armour but it's a good start!

Just a 19MB download here

ARMA2... now THATS a bit difficult. This was like "Flashpoint: Semi-Arcade"

I liked it though.
