Indeed! I'm green-lighting the "Grayson" suit! Most likely I'll commission the same seamstress that put together my "Wrath of Khan" uniform (if she's still around ).

Definitely going to have to co-ordinate a schedule! Maybe I'll make a spreadsheet.

Well...since you are going as Grayson....it means Nightwing should be coming around fairly quickly (As in time frame..not...you actually doing the char) . *nods* You and I have some photo opportunities ahead of us.

Today I purchased the material for my Grayson suit, and commissioned a local seamstress. The material for the cape is gorgeous! I'm a little disappointed in the colour of the vest- it is a little too red (it should be more on the orange side). The weight of the wool had to take precedence.

YEAH BABY!! IT'S GONNA HAPPEN!! GOTHAM'S SON WILL RISE AGAIN!!

So that leaves...

The Boots- nearest match I can find are New Rock Reactor boots. I've seen them for $249 on ebay.

The Gloves- again I've seen a good set of black leather guantlet gloves on ebay.

The Mask- got a choice here: I can either buy a relatively cheap leather Lone ranger style mask, and customize it myself... Or I can see if a nearby leather goods shop will make the mask for me.

Undershirt and Leggings- not exactly the most flattering purchase I'll have to make.

I wear NR Reactors regularly... make sure you spend the time breaking them in! I would worry about the big NR logo on them. Have you looked at MadFish boots, too?

Honestly, making a leather mask is easy. If you want I can give you instructions, or if you can get ahold of a copy of Thurston James' mask making book it has a section on doing leather masks.

BTW, making a wetformed mask (which is what it sounds like you are wanting) is the same basic techniques as making a wetform holster.

Kev - I recommend latex doll. Super Ryan at LOH can help you with that.
