The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Does anyone know for certain what size of US flag is on Gorman's field jacket?
It looks quite a bit larger than the one on his uniform shirt. Kind of similar to the oversized ones on the WWII Airborne D-Day jackets.

Thanks,

Russ

Bit of a thread resurrection...

Anyone know where to get these in something approaching a 15"-16" collar and without the USMC insignia? I've had a bit of a trawl but I'm struggling... Any help appreciated!

Thinking with minor modification it'd make a nice quick-n-dirty Gorman working dress shirt.

That's a WWII (or reproduction) OG 107 shirt I believe.

Try hunting through some sites that sell WWII reenactor gear and uniforms.

I should have pics of my in progress OD uniform soon.

Shirt is pretty much done, I just need to sew on velcro and patches.

Still trying to decide if I want to do the field jacket or not. Atlanta in September... hmmm...

Hey Sixty
Looks like the P1958 USMC utility shirt I posted earlier in this thread. Could be the P1956 though which had an herringbone twill.
Might help you in your search knowing those numbers.

Info found here - http://www.ljmilitaria.com/gearservices/marine_gear.htm and they have a catalog so might sell them.

Thanks guys, apparently that one is herringbone so must be the P1956!

Time for more hunting... I just need this shirt (or something similarly suitable) and I have a full working dress Gorman! Curses! :p
