was reading the Trek movie precursor comic (Star trek Countdown... which links the old timeline with the new one) and saw something strangely familiar. Seems the Romulans have been stealing our ship designs

Amazing how this stuff turns up everywhere. We had a thread going on another forum I'm a part of talking about this very thing. We found lots of examples where the ships etc from Space 1999 had been used in different shows... everything from Danger Mouse and Doctor Who to Futurama. This is a pretty obvious borrow though, that's the Nostromo and nothing else. I hope they got permission.

Yea I saw the Star Car from The Last Starfigher and the Spinner from Blade runner in the chase scene from Back to the Future 2. I know I've seen that Star Car in another film but it escapes me for the moment.

I saw the Suluco in a HDTV promo for blu ray players while walking through Circuit City.. I actually had to stop and watch I thought it was a trailer for something new about Aliens..LOL
