The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi guys, long time colonial and avid aliens collector and gamer.

Over the past few years I have been desperate to find some colonial marines for table top gaming so I even converted painted and gave bases for the colonial marines from the ALIEN Swam play sets I owned.

here are some thumbs of Some of the finished painted colonial marines from the ALIENS Swarm play set I painted and based.

more images of the marines an clickable higher detail image of the marines are on my gaming miniature figures page
http://www.uskaarj.com/Figs

The colonial marines are towards the bottom of the page.

But the ALIEN swarm play set marines are a little big for fielding in a large number and gaming on a table esp if playing a space hulk conversion against aliens, so over the past week I have started converting a games workshop imperial guards man by stripping and carving all extra details of the figures then started adding stuff to the mini with greenstuff and adding colonial marine armor and details. This is my first ever attempt at sculpting details onto a mini, I am using this miniature as a test to see how this turns out then will convert other figures and do full conversions so I can have a full squad of marines for my use in table top gaming against aliens :D .
These are the pictures of how the mini looks so far

Not bad. You may want to check Ebay for the old leading edge stuff. It shows up from time to time fairly cheep. I currently have the whole squad of marines from the movie to paint up still.

Very cool. How well did they take paint?
I'm going to be painting up my set for use when I upsize my Aliens boardgame - once I find a Drake.
