The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Does anyone in the UK or Europe know of this stuff and is it able to be shipped to the USA?

As I understand it its normal aerosol spray paint and shouldn't be a problem shipping ground/sea to the US.

Does anyone know and can anyone help?

Plasti-Kote

For those who don't know this is a metallic spray paint that dried to a metallic finish (obviously) which is perfect for projects such as a C3P0 outfit.

UK (and Europe?) countries won't ship metalic spraypaints to the US. There was a problem with some stupid kids concentrating and inhaling the stuff and then getting sick (died?), so the US outlawed metalic spray paints with cetain chemicals in them. That is why you can get those in Europe but not here. The ones here have to use a different set of chemicals that aren't nearly as good.

Yeah the dupli color primer sucks. I can believe all the

automotive stores buy it now. I've been complaining for

awhile. Krylon sandable primer is around still and works well.

Tony, did you try a Michaels (craft store)?

As a paint it is classed as HAZ MAT - Hazardous Material and therefore cannot be shipped.

This is actually for a friend of mine who is looking for some.
He lives in the Chicago area and is having a C3P0 costume done and needs some.

I've had offers of people offering to ship it but I don't want to make a wasted attempt if its just going to get stopped at customs.

Matt - Michaels Craft Store.......I've never seen one and don't have one here in OKC. I will let Tom know though and see if he can find one.
Not sure if Hobby Lobby here may carry something.

Steve R - where do you buy online?

Any more ideas and thoughts though are more than welcome - thanks guys!

My father was able to get 6 cans at a B&Q in the UK and is shipping them 'ground' to the US.

Think their will be any problems?

Thank you again all for the help, but I was unable to find them anywhere in the US with this kind of shine.
