The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Actually it's a facsimile of an actual medal that I've received. It's accurate except for the two thin red lines on the outside.

The second one is a legit medal also, Kevin has it as well.

I need to put in officially for the Samhain ribbon.

Also while ordering for DCon I will need Atlanta and Chris Memorial approved so I can wear in the Parade.

Thanks.

That's pretty cool. None of the medals I got are interesting at all. They really skimp out for ROTCs.

And please excuse my ugly as sin couch.

Hmmm. I'm almost tempted to reconsider my stance on real-world decorations and add my actuals instead of the commemoratives.

Ribbon updates for DCon and FNG memorial will be done after the drop. As usual, please enter your request here.

If you will be at the drop and are ordering ribbons, feel free to order your ATL and FNG ribbons to wear.

Aid to the Civil Power Award

"For service to one's community or for the donation of precious bodily fluids while on duty."

Going to the blood drive? Wear your armour! Cleaning up your neighbourhood? Wear your BDUs! Take a pic and you've got a shiny new medal!

If you truly knew Dr. Stranglove you'd know that Col. Ripper "fired blanks".

But you're right that we all can help our local communities somehow. :)

If I go to the blood drive wearing my armour, I'll need a pure white ribbon - same colour as the long-sleeve jacket they'll give me! ^_^

Of course he blamed his infertility on the Commies, but the line's a classic!
General Jack D. Ripper wrote:
I can no longer sit back and allow Communist infiltration, Communist indoctrination, Communist subversion and the international Communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

I noticed it's precious, not vital... so I just changed the wording for the award.

Had a Community Health Fair at church today..and I was able to pull duty on the table my wife was in charge of. She is in charge of our deaf ministry, and was kind enough to let me "Guard" for awhile...I was stationed next to where they were taking participants for Blood Donations, so that look on my face is probably me thinking "Man, I couldnt do that"

Anyway, heres my pic for the new medal Dom has presented to us...for my service to the community and reaching out with my wife...although I just guarded the fort for her and helped out with what I could
