How is the GL pump grip fixed to the remington arm? I know inside there is a small metal 'tab' which the pump screws to, however on the outside of the screen used one is there a metal block where the two screws go into, or do they go directly into the plastic pump grip? Hope that makes sense! See picture.

Also what size and type are the screws that hold the grip to the arm, hex type i presume?

One last question there was a high res picture of the orginal gun without the shrouds, would anyone be able to email me this?

Yes it appears so, although I have seen some with the metal plate inset, into the grip requiring milling out the space for the plate...

But I've also seen the plate sitting atop the grip ,above grade if you will. As evidenced on the propstore gun. http://www.propstore.com/pulserifle.htm

I vaguely remember seeing a stunt unit wthout the plate but cannot find a picture, but I'm confident that most of the firing hero models had that plate.

i used 8/32 x 1/2 hex head screws but i had to grind them down because 1/2 is a little long

Hello Lewis.

The plate is 25mm x 10mm by 2mm thick.

The screw are M4 domed heads socket screws.

I used countersink allen heads.

If I remember they're around 8-32.

I also cut in a plate on my G+P kit.

I used M4 domed head screws as they look right with the grip as all the other screws on the G&P PR kit were domed head.

I looked at Harry Harris web site of the PR used but it hard to tell if it domed or counter sink.

The only problem with counter sink is the thickness of the metal plate and counter sinking thin metal plate can be a problem. So I used domed head.

M4 looks right .

Matt is that 8/32"? as I can not find that size

9/32 = 7.144mm
7/32 = 5.556mm

One more thing, not really having any experience with screws etc(hope that doesnt sound too wrong!), can someone explain to me M4, M5, M6 etc what is this in mm? i presume this is the size of the head or is it the allen key hole? Any info on this would be much appreciated!

5mm is the diameter of the threaded portion.

So it's countersunk allen head screws. Not sure about the size, M4 or M5 seems to be about right...

clearer shows the screws are flat, and countersunk. Also notice the extension added to the Thompson barrel clearly visible. This links in the the other pics from prop store showing the extension bit.

Having seen some more photos, it seems to vary with the baptys PRs have the pump grip is attached.

See image below:

1. Pic from the prop store - shows plate going over 2 downward grip lines. Bolts not counter sunk.

2. Babtys 8 hole vent - plate end lines up with grip line. Bolts not counter sunk.

3. Baptys 10 hole vent - plate end lines up with last grip line, and is longer than 25mm. Bolts spaced out more and countersunk.

Very interesting differences.

Lewis when you say those bolts aren't countersunk, to me it looks like they are but they're just a bit loose.

I think what you might be seeing as a shadow could be the countersink on the plate reflecting the light in a slightly different way, or the shadows of the bolts that are sticking out slightly proud (or both).

Sorry Harry, i think youre probably right all are counter sunk, however the top two arent flush with the plate, and so stick out a bit.
