The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

So what do you do with a bank holiday? Me? I spend 4 hours and several attempts installing electronics in my pulse rifle.

Results are worth it, though

That's pulse rifle number 2 done. Right, on to number 3 ;)

Nice job mate and cool vid. I don't regret selling all the stuff for my 2nd PR at all ;)

Is the LED in the barrel set quite far back though? As when you brought the business end round to the camera I could only see the LED when it was dead straight on to the lens.

My only comment would be that you might condsider getting the modification that I had so that the counter is reset when you pull the mag out and then reinsert it. Or will you not be using a removable mag if you are putting a transmitter in that area?

Cheers

Darren

The LED is a little far back, but that as far as the cable went. Given my luck with soldering and connections, I'm feeling it is best not to tempt fate at the moment to try and increase the length.

As for the mag pull reset, the mag is quite a fiddle to get in quickly, so I went with the on/off. I'll probably go with the mag reload on the 3rd PR full metal build, though ;)

I'll have to start auditioning FM transmitters now...

Just to bump this one a bit for our good friend Mr. Tim Shilling of ASP Engineering  Yes, that's one of his kits. Nice little piece of work, that. It's the same module he designed his smartgun board off of, as well.

Speaking of which... my kit's arrived - keep an eye out for pictures soon!
