Just going off what I know about normal gun maintenance, the only strip-and-clean you really need to do is for a gun that's actually being fired. I would suggest "Tetra Gun" products, it's what my dad and I use.
Break her down once and rub some
Tetra Gun grease into any moving parts (i.e. slide tracks, bolts, and actions of any parts you plan on racking). Get a good bit on there and rub it in to get it into the pores of the metal, to prevent wear. Aside from that, if you're worried about rust you can treat your real-steel parts with any kind of gun lube like Tetra Gun, or Rem-Oil, or any product that says "long term storage" or rust-preventative on the can.
Since your PR really doesn't get any kind of regular use, you shouldn't need much reapplication at all, if any.
