The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Cherie and I had to leave town on a family emergency, but had to check up on Chris.

Chris is a fighter, no doubt about that.
Hang in there my friend.

Dom, I'll get Cherie's and my signature off to you as soon as I'm back home this weekend or as soon as possible.

Ok, latest news from the front:

Chris has a form of drug resistant Pneumonia, and as such, can't have visitors right now.

He does have brain activity, and when he does open his eyes, they do dilate, and he does follow Sherry around the room. So there's some good news mixed with bad.

There is no talk about pulling any plugs.

Big thanks to Scott and Sherry for passing the info on.

Well, knowing what's wrong is halfway to knowing how to fix it, at least... great news about the improvement in his responsiveness, too. Thanks for keeping us informed.

Damn. I haven't been around on these boards in a while, so it was a shock to see this.

I don't know Chris very well, but he's always been very friendly and helpful in e-mails.

It's obvious from the comments on this thread from guys that know him what a great guy he is. It's a shame that he can't read all of this for himself at the moment to let him know what people think of him!

I'm adding my crossed fingers to everyone else here that Chris makes a speedy recovery.

Kudos for the guys giving support to Chris' wife too, she needs it as much (if not more) than Chris.

Get well soon Chris. We have bugs to hunt...

Christ... I don't even know where to start.

I hadn't been on the boards for weeks... and then to suddenly see this nightmare in my face! I can only imagine what Joy's going through right now. I just finished reading about 30+ minutes worth of rollercoaster emotion-filled pages to be thanking the gods that Chris is still with us!

There are very few words that I can think of to even begin to describe what a talented artisan, generous person, and overall great friend Chris is. Alot has been said about Chris here, and it's all entirely true. I only hope he realizes the amazing friendships he's formed with many of us over the years, and how important he is to us. He has so much to live for, so he had better keep fighting to stick around -- there's so much more we will be doing together.

In fact, Chris had ribbed me at DragonCon this year about not having camo painted on my armour, and offered to send me the color-matched paints he had done up for his armour just so that I would match the rest of the boys. Well, I received the paint (on his dime) and look forward to his critique when I finish it.

This just isn't his time to leave us.

Fight Chris! Fight for all that you love, and all that love you!

This is just a slap in the face... brush it off Marine!

Image

You were always there for us, so now it's our turn to be there for you. Wishing you a speedy recovery my friend...

Damn.
I'd been just thinking about Chris this past week, putting together an idea to interview some of my fave customizers this year for my site and his name rose straight up to the top in my head

This is so wrong to be happenning to him.

I'll add my hopes and prayers to his recovery.

As of yesterday the best he is right now is stable no changes except for the viral pneumonia.
