The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Very cool Spat. Is the mag designed to come out?

No, no removeable magazine. The mag well is just hollow enough to fit the battery pack and all the wires and the switch.

Sorry!

Nice work Spat, and good to see the Spulse still kicking in a new form.

Looking very nice. I have to say my Spulse MKII has been serving me well while my other two PR's are slowly put together.

And it's the only PR I'd trust handing over to the public to hold. If they drop it, the only real danger is to nearby feet. Spulse is strong, strong like bull.

Joe, you of all people should know that the wait list starts when you make a payment.

That's the only way I know someone is serious about ordering!

That is the best kit on the market for $250. Good job. As far as the customs issue you could always send the lower and spas parts separate. I doubt any customs guy would recognize she spas cage and grip.

OK. How long is the wait list? I should be able to send payment in 2 weeks after I pay for Christmas.

Yeah, as soon as I posted the pics, I went back and updated the price in the store. Just in case.

I'm glad the kits are finally done, I was originally hoping to bring a few of these kits down to DragonCon '07 to sell, but it just took a lot longer than I thought it would to get them ready.

I'm hoping to have all the back order kits shipped out in about 2 weeks or so.

And if you guys think $250 is too cheap, I can raise the price. It's not that big a deal to me! It'll just mean I pay back the cost of silicone even faster.

Also remember, the SPAS cage is going to be in 2 halves, so it will be even harder to recognize when in kit form if you want to sneak it through customs.

And know that the actual kits will be cast in black resin. The gray resin was just for the first pics, since the black resin is hard to photograph.

And, all the MK III kits will ship out with an LED counter included.

Seriously considering trading up my MKII to the new Spulse just because it's so con friendly. Even a mad plan to replace the barrel, vent, triangle and stock with metal versions.

I really can't have more than three pulseys...

It's solid. I know that the shroud takes a beating at cons, so I like it to be as strong as possible.

I gotta say, that the solid construction is what makes the Spulse so damned appealing! It's durable and has a great weight. :D

Spat, any particular reason why you chose to use black resin this time around? And what's the usual shipping time (excluding back orders)? ;)

WOW Spat, that looks fantastic, nice work.

I'm getting my Wife to hide my credit cards or I'd be all over one of these.

To make a removable mag would be an easy mod on this using wood or something as the mag attached to the base, then rare earth magnets to hold it in place. I used them on one of my PR's and they're strong little buggers....

Image

Once again, nice work Mate :)

Cheers,

Kraig

Awesome, awesome work there Spat, very clean lines!

If I had some money I'd replace my Mk.II... But that was a labour of love!

Good work on pre-cutting the inside of the magazine well on the counter side, will save me a lot of work on light and sound builds!

I really like the black resin. It's much better than using white resin. If the paint chips, you'll see black under it instead of white, which I think is much better.

And I've been using black resin for a couple of years now. I'm really happy with it.

The best case for wait time is like 2 days. That's if you place an order when I have a lot of free time, and all the materials ready. At worst, it would be like 2 weeks. But the average would be somewhere in between.

Of course, that's not including shipping times.

And I honestly haven't thought about removeable mags. I like to keep these kits as simple as possible, with no moving parts. Makes it easier on everyone.

:)

Why? because friends don't let friends cast guns out of white (or blue for that matter...) resin. :)
