The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I agree with this list. I especially like where and how they describe our favorite heroine.

Yeah- Snake Plissken should have been much higher. And where was Buckaroo Banzai and Han Solo?

Barefoot cop with an MP-5 #1... Reeboked miner with an M41A #2... sounds fixed to me.

Although Buckaroo's absence is definitely noticed... perhaps he's not even considered an action hero..?

And yes, Snake definitely should've scored higher.

And where was Jack Burton?

You leave Jack Burton alone! We are in his debt. He showed great courage.

Sorry... couldn't resist.

That list was a joke (no offense Joe- I know you didn't write it  ).

Bruce Willis at #1? Oh the humanity!

I can't believe how low Arnie scored... He revitalized the action hero genre if you ask me!

I think the absense of other characters played by the same actor might be the authors picking what they feel was that particular actor's greatest action hero role (Robocop over BB, Snake over Jack Burton, etc). I'm surprised John Wayne wasn't mentioned (and that Steven Segal was  ). No Clint Eastwood either.

Bruce Willis should not have been number one.

At all.

Guess we're just lucky Jean-Claude didn't make the list.

How about a list of non-action heroes. My list would begin with Jeff Bridges as Jeff 'The Dude' Lebowski (Big Lebowski), and Matthew McConaughey as Wooderson (Dazed and Confused)

And maybe Keanu Reeves as John 'Johnny' Utah in Point Break...

I'm surpised that there is no mention of Milla Jovovich especially for her role in Ultraviolet. Eh... pretty cool list though.

Or Chuck Norris.

How can you have an action hero list without Chuck?

At this moment some cybergeek who helped compile the list is tasting Chuck's foot from a roundhouse kick!

Poor Kurt Russell. Especially after he was sent through Operation: Imagination Doorway and raped by the forest friends...
