The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

My armour's here!

I replaced the camera lens then whacked everything on and snapped a quick photo:

Nothing's fitted properly yet and most of my accessories aren't attached/in the pic either but I couldn't wait to try it on :D

Of course this is in need of the camo paint scheme which I will do as soon as I get chance.

Wow . . . absolutely badass setup you have there mate.

The camera lens really gives an sense of authenticity and functionality to the helmet. Loving the accurate BDUs too ands that pulse rifle looks like the real deal. Care to share info on your rifle?

Looking sharp! :D

You cannot help just putting the armour on as soon as it arrives. Resistance is futile.

Now get painting! Get some graffiti on.

My PR is the ACM Thompson with G&P kit - weathered and tweaked here and there (and it's about to be Brown Bessed), BDU's are those UK made "mystery" items, the Spat armour is the dark green option - worn but not visible in the pic is my MGC VP-70 in its MAA holster and my real Seiko Pulsemeter.

I have a MR tracker, Gerber II and loads of grenades but spent no time tinkering for the pic - just threw it all on (as you do!)

LOL - good spot there; the wife loves sparkling mineral water and as we live near Buxton (a spa town) we get free mineral water that she makes fizzy.

Thanks for the kind words though chaps - will get something done with it before NSC and will be there!

More photos to follow...

why do customs charge so much. i bet if some1 working at customs had a parcel turn up for them it would go unnoticed.

Er... I kinda have to ask... that camo paint job... how necessary is it, really? Like, are the other marines gonna throw jeers, peanuts and M-40s at me if I show up at the NSC with a simple Spataflage job?

Well, the Dresser of Nerds hath spoken. Yay, though I'll walk through the valley of the shadow of paint-job-related-lazyness, I will fear no ridicule, for he is with me.

You'll probably go mental, as the strike doesn't finish until tomorrow night, with the Royal Mail saying the backlog will take until at least Thursday to clear.
