Wow, sounds like you guys really had things planned out. Cards with web site address? Now that's thinking! I was wondering what other fan tables offered...like the SG-1 group and such. I simply have no idea.

I'll man the table for abit, I really like it when 9 yr old kids come up & ask me questions. I love seeing younger generations getting interested in it

*** IDEA**** Scan in the pages of the tech. Manual, time indusive yes, but we could post the pics on a slideshow thing on a laptop & show off the weaponary.

Basically make a big old powerpoint pres, 20 minutes or so of USCM stuff, weapons, misc. & run it continuously.

More marines is always better.

I was thinking of making USCM buttons that read "Join The USCM Today!" & have a big old poster behind the table with a marine & his pr & behind him is I Want You In The USCM!!! Uncle sam stuff

Dude! You read my mind! I started working on a poster last night!:D

It's kind of a impressionist drawing of a USCM grunt, which will have the words "JOIN UP NOW!" above him and something like "The United States Colonial Marines Need YOU!" below it.

Kinda like a classic WWII recruitment poster. Only dropships and apc's in the background instead of US Army Air Corps planes and tanks.

I once made a poster with Vas pointing her smartgun straight forward with the words "Colonial Marines" above, and the words "Don't leave their people behind" under it. I like the retro WWII poster idea.

Here's another funny story:

Two of the members of that group in front of us and I were waiting for the elevator in the Marriott.
While waiting one of the guys starts telling us about how they went to George (James Bond) Lazanby's table and asked him how many James Bond films he's done.

Mr. Lazanby looked at them with murder in his eyes, and told them, "only one!" He then said that they should leave.

We all get on the elevator, with these guys saying what a jerk George Lazanby is, when who gets on the elevator with us...

Yup, George Lazanby!:lol:

So what do these guys say...

"HEY IT'S JAMES BOND!!!" "You're gonna have to rescue us all if the elevator gets stuck you know!":shock:

Needless to say, Mr Lazanby wasn't impressed and I was able to witness that "murder in his eyes" look.

One last one, but I didn't witness it personally, Spat told us this one.

There was a guy dressed as Elvis walking around getting his picture taken with everyone. (Not our obi1kenny by the way).

A young woman asked if she could have her picture taken with him. "Elvis" says sure, so she puts her arm around him.

Just before the picture is taken, "Elvis" licks the side of her face, and pinches her nipple!:shock: (guess Elvis had one too many).

The photographer, who happened to be her boyfriend, walks right up to "Elvis" and punches him square between the eyes, glasses and all!

Well, the glasses broke and cut Elvis' face open, so Elvis calls the police. After the police arrive and hear the whole story, they take Elvis aside and explain that they could charge the boyfriend with assault... but they would have to charge Elvis with sexual assault as well. Elvis leaves thinking they're even.

After Elvis is gone, one of the cops turns to the boyfriend and says, "If it were my girlfriend pal, I would have punched him between the eyes and thrown him off the lobby balcony!"

Hope I got it right.

By the way, I would have done the same thing. But could they really have charged the boyfriend with assault? I mean, the Elvis guy started it. It's like provoking a fight. He asked for it. The boyfriend was merely defending his lady.
