The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

As you know, Alclad II do a British Brown Bess, which is virtually identical to the old Humbroll BB.

If however you are struggling to get hold of it, Archive X paints (another UK based firm) are bringing out their own Vintage Brown Bess, which is also supposed to be identical to the old Humbrol and they do mail order.

https://archivexpaint.com/products/ex-0 ... oming-soon

The more available Brown Bess colour is, the better.

Looks like they do ship to the US, I put in another paint which was 12 gbp, and shipping was 13.50gbp... so the cost for one jar is 25.50gbp or $34.20usd at time of writing. I didn't go as far as hitting 'buy'. Pricey! But, great to see another supplier.

I contacted them. They hope to get some stuff in February and will ship to the states. Not sure if they are prepared for the flood of orders from us as a group of individuals though...

Let us know how you get on with those, as the first bottle of Alclad I received was spot on colourwise. But the next few bottles I bought seemed more of a Brown/Green colour???

I'm going to give Alclad another go, but going to see how I get on with the Archive X paint before ordering more.
