Does anyone know if similar dogtag cards were made for the rest of the Sulaco Marines? I've been able to find cards for Drake, Hudson, Hicks, and Dietrich, but can't find anyone else. Were they simply not made? I'm not interested in buying, I'm more interested in finding out each character's blood type (for writing purposes).

Could always try contacting the actors/actresses directly & asking what their actually blood types are. That's kinda a cool factoid.

Besides, if the RFI is passing through their agents, it's their job to make the call on the creepiness level ...

Memorizing numbers is one thing I'm not good at, so . . . unfortunately, I wouldn't know. I'm well-aware that anything on the trading cards might not be completely accurate, but for the blood types, it's kinda the only thing I have to go off of, and it's what made me realize that it'd be important to know which character can donate to another if somebody gets hurt.

I don't memorise numbers either, but the format was all wrong.

By this point in time, they can synthesize an entire human being, as seen with Ash and Bishop... Why couldn't they have a better form of the synthetic blood we currently have today? A single product suitable for all blood types, carried as part of the squad trauma kit on the APC. Cheaper and easier than having to faff around with different bloods for different types, too...

I think it's plausible, especially since we don't see blood types on the dogtags in the film.

I've been a fan of ALIENS ever since the movie came out, collecting, reading just about everything, and I can't say I know the I.D. numbers AT ALL. But I too have a horrible time remembering numbers. I have my wedding anniversary date tattooed on the inside of my eyelids!

Alright, I figured I'd just put this in this topic because it's somewhat similar . . . does anyone know what each individual line on the Marines' vitals monitors are for? Or have a good guess? One's definitely cardiac, but what are the others? Brainwaves? Breathing rate?

They're all searchable on the Internet, although the second one down looks like BCG, which looks to be an immunization against tuberculosis (I remember having this at school about a thousand years ago!)

I remember asking about he monitor read-outs a long time ago. And again, I can't remember what was said!

I do seem to remember one of them was cardio ballistics (how hard your blood is pumping?) which is different from heart beat....I think.

But yeah, I'd think they could possibly be
-heart beat
-brain wave
-electro cardiogram
-skin salinity (which is a measure of stress)

As far as real life is concerned, my research concluded that first beat sports had the closest real life application. Unfortunately at 2k for a simple setup I had to delay getting a setup.

There is an Israeli firm that has a 12ecg lead shirt with the google conductive thread weaved in that hooks up to your phone that would require a bluetooth app.

These two items separately can provide the telemetry readings. I talked with some biomedical engineers and the thoughts were that they had saved readings or some electronic noise that was captured and then displayed on a saved/captured loop on the screens as that would be the easist hack back in the day.

There is a lot of science involved but the readings did appear to be actual ECG patterns so things were probably actual captures.
