The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

A graphic (I'm assuming it's a fan created thing) in the article lists a registry number as 513792.
No idea if it would be listed as CV-513792 (Aircraft Carrier) or CVL-513792 (Aircraft Carrier, Light).
Those are US Navy designations.

CVL designation hasn't been usedin a long while I believe.

Alternately, the light Carriers also had designations like CVH (Carrier, Helicopter), so a designation like
CVD (Carrier, Dropship) might be accurate.

Some more Aircraft Carrier naming info...

I remember about 19 or 20 years ago someone here had hats made like Navy crew wear....it had a silhouette of the Sulaco and the words LAS-13 on it. I also seem to recall there being registration info in the old tech manual, but I don't have that in front of my to confirm.

I'm guessing someone picked 13 since the manual says it was the 13th made in that class
not sure where LAS came from
Just trying to get a census of what we should do moving forward
LAS-##
CAD######

would make sense if we all do the same thing in the future, or maybe only my guys want hats :/
