The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I'm a new forum member and I want to apply for a service number for which I need a rank. Can I just pick what I want (I'd go with Corporal) for this or is it something that I am assigned with service?

I'm assuming this is because you want a set of dog tags making up with your rank and service number on them?

Like Stimpy said, just pick what you want. SGM Baldwin will generate the number, then who ever is making your dog tags (I'm assuming Gary Pusey, as he does most of them) can put your details on them.

Thanks Simon (plus thanks for recommending this forum to me at MCM). Yes, this is so I'll have a number ready for when I can order some dog tags.
Corporal Dutton it is then!

Aaaah right, wasn't aware we had previously met. I do remember speaking to several people that day and recomending the Aliens Legacy forum and telling them about UKCM and Reel Icons.

Been following your build on the RI board, glad you joined up!

I was the fleet trooper from the Rebel Legion with the 9 foot pike.
I checked out your officer WIP in the UKG RI forum as you suggested after our discussion about art to go with my fan fiction. There were some great images thanks.

NOW I remember you!

Glad you signed up. I just got my Colonial Marine SGT cleared, which I hope to be debuting at MCM London this month.

I look forward to having you run laps around the con halls at future troops :D

UKCM rank is a mystical and elusive beast...

Promotions are rare, and usually include...(CENSORED)

Sorry, i've said too much already....

I didn’t really understand the rank concept either.

Its just for fun..., choose what u want..., or if u where in the military, use that rank like me...

And by the way, an E4 Corporal is the stupidest rank in the military..., go for an E3 PFC or an E5 SGT or higher.. :-)

In Aliens it was a corporal that lived longest.
Although in Spaced Invaders it was claimed that "The corporal always die first." :-?

Don’t forget if you go for anything other than private you need to get patches on your BDU’s

Are there some specific patches, or just US marine corporal stripes?

Hicks had his sleeves rolled up too high to tell. You only really see his BDU shirt at all after he's been splashed by an alien's acid blood in the lift.
