Maybe Al is his nick-name? Or his middle name? I guess we could come up with whatever explanation we want. I was wondering about his name because of some "paper work" I'm doing. For that reason, I wonder which I should use?
Would be plausible to assume "Al" to be a middle name. For instance my Dad's given first name is William which is a Klassen family tradition. The first born son of William is always William. My grandpa went by Bill, and he worried about suddenly being called "Old Bill" so they always called my Dad by his middle name, which is Russel (He simply goes by "Russ").
Mac McDonald (actually born Terence McDonald) plays Simpson, so following the general rule (minus a couple exceptions) of each character using the actor's "first name", following the name tags they wear is likely intended. "M. Simpson" - Mac Simpson.
Bill Armstrong played "W. Lydecker" - William (Bill) Lydecker.
The office wall first initials are simply mixed up.
So, based on that... What are we going with? Albert, Alan/Allen, Alvin, Alphonse, Alistair, Alexander, Alfred... etc?
