The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Quite surprised they are putting this out. I thought Prodos had the license for board and miniatures games, as they are currently selling both... Interesting..

Guess I'll have to add this to my RPG collection too when it's released. :)

So far I've been using Prodos minis (thank God for the new unicast minis) and Mad Robot Miniature's CDF, which are great minis but a nightmare to assemble. (But worth it since they have great customization.)

Blivet: those minis from Mad Robot are fascinating. The details are wrong in places, but in an oddly appealing way. I love all the alternate heads and arms.

I hope this is easier to play than the old Leading Edge board game.

Try the online version of the board game. It automates most everything, and is really really fun!

Online version of the board game? I am intrigued!

I still have my copy of the Leading Edge P&P RPG and most of the minis. I remember combat taking an hour or so per skirmish. That, and I remember being emotionally-scarred upon reading the game's description of the Arcturians. I so hope that description is NOT canon.

Retrogarde: Yeah, I do love the Mad Robot minis, but believe me when I say their almost traumatizing to assemble. The shoulder lamps are 1.5mm tall...

Reminds me of the old AEF models.

Some artistic license used on the armour there... Looks like nothing an xacto knife can't fix though.
