The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I need help building an ammo counter for my pulse rifle, I need help with:
A) parts list of what I'll need,
B) designing working code,
it will need to meet the following criteria:
1) when the trigger is pulled counter decreases by four
2) after a switch is activated, when the trigger is held it decreases at a speed of 900/min until:
a) the trigger is released,
b) the counter is empty
3) the trigger does nothing when the counter is 00
4) when the ammo clip is removed the counter turns off
5) when the clip is put back in the counter starts at 99 then drops to 95

I really appreciate any help you can give me as I've never worked with electronics before :delta:

You can modify Sean Maio's code to do what you want.

A simple physical contact switch with the clip as the connector completing the circuit should do the on/off functions you are looking for.

Unfortunately for the compact factor needed in a functional pulse rifle, the Evike unit is your best bet at the moment. It is completely done and functional.

I don't need it to fire, I just need the counter to work

Sean Maio is "Outcry27" here on the forum, you can probably private message him directly :)

Once I get my smart gun fully built I will request my builds on that and the smart gun to be archived.
